Great progress mate. Having a drive by wire throttle in my 911 is fantastic. At first it was too sensitive, but it was a simple software adjustment to change the ramping. Great mod.

Subaru makes a better more reliable Boxer engine than Porche. The 3.6H at 256hp is bulletproof.

I will definitely agree that they make a much cheaper engine, but I’m not sure about much more bulletproof. The evidence is overwhelming in Porsche‘s favor.

A friend of mine has a Subaru conversation in his vw vanagon. He did the fly-by-wire throttle by putting the guts of the gas pedal in the engine bay, and using the stock cable to connect to the original pedal. Just thought you might look at that.

Hello my dear, I'm putting together a very similar project in Brazil, the engine used would be from a Legacy h6 3.0 but taken from an automatic car, I want to change it to manual. Subscribed...watching from Portugal originally from Scotland though...restoring a 68 Rover P6 and just finished a 75 Landrover 101 forward control for us about to start a 58 S11 for a customer...we cant here alter anything on cars not even fit different wheel size unless manufacturer supplied...after market upgrades dont exist you are so lucky...

Damn right...we have a fully equiped garage...Barry is an autotech with full vag training and we both built rally/race cars in Scotland but not together we met down here in the Algarve...upside of not being able to modify is were doing restoration...rust free cars due to climate and no SALT on roads...Ohh and nearly winter today so working outside in 82F much better than 100+ in summer...lol...keep up the good work stay safe and give the dog a pat from me and Lucy...

Nice work, might want to think about using the Subaru drive by wire throttle pedal as u can mount it to the foot board or firewall then u won’t have to move your pedal set over. That’s what I use on my 914 builds.

Love the overall direction of the build and the special guest, very cool video. Job well done! I do have a couple of question about the boost levels, engine, and fueling. Why are you going e85 on stock motor with only 5-8lbs of boost? ...are you "planning" for more boost later? Also, are you replacing the external oil cooler with something else? Or eliminating the system completely? Why is it "not needed" when the engineers decided it was from the factory? And from the looks of the direction, you plan to drive that thing like you stole it! lol...
