Sublime Green Crime Scene

I come home from a work trip to discover something curious about sublime green cars.

Well, I got a real crime scene for you, Mike. My 2018 SRT 392 (destroyer grey, black racing stripes, 6.4 liter) finally arrived here in Germany last week. It was being transported on the back of a lorry to the dealership where I was supposed to pick it up on Monday. The lorry driver took a bathroom break and grabbed a cup of coffee along the autobahn. He said he wasn't away for more than 15 minutes from the lorry...when he came back out, my new car---my beautiful SRT--- and a Ford car (Mustang?) had their tires slashed. No kidding. The dealer sent me pictures. Made my blood boil, bro. Now the dealer had to rush-order a full set of tires for my car from the States because they are currently not available in Germany. It looks like I'd have to wait a couple more weeks to go tearing up the autobahn in my Challenger. I wanted to do a couple of hundred miles with it, like a "shake-down" cruise, you know, for familiarization purposes BEFORE I hit the road for the 800-mile epic journey from Stuttgart, Germany to Lyon, France on July 4th. But I'm running short on time. Damn haters. Probably a Porsche owner with a grudge.

I definetly agree on that ,back when I was younger my friends kx125 always attracted the bugs ,and we had this conversation 20 years ago about maybe the bugs like the green because they think it's vegetation..100% I think the green got something to do with it

Damn that's crazy. Never had that kind of carnage on my Go Mango Charger but I have noticed it seems to attract dragon flies, bees and some other insects which I assume they think is some kind of flower.

I have a sublime SRT 392 and I experience then same problem. I also had a had a 04 Cobra years ago that was screaming yellow and also had the same problem. But more so with bees for obvious reasons of course. Truly believe it is a vegetation confusion lol. If I let my car sit outside for a day at home I usually just cover it and that’s enough to keep my OCD in check.

I have a 77 Vette in bright orange. I have the same problem, bugs are attracted to it like crazy. My wife owns a bright purple Jeep and they are not attracted to it, but that orange! It's crazy! lol

Maybe it is the green.🤔 Then, once the bugs realize there's no plant material, the UV & radiant heat from sunlight finishes them off. 🤔 I can tell you on my PitchBlack Challenger Cat, the front nose area is constantly bug splattered. 😑 My PlumCrazy Cat? Dunno. Don't drive it enough.😄

Lovebugs will swarm on white cars, never heard about green cars attracting bugs and I've had a couple green cars but they were darker green. My scat is f8 green and only the front bumper seems to attract bugs. ;)

I think they are attracted to a smell, not the color. Look at how the bugs are lined up in the cracks that aren't even green.

When I had a white Nissan Pathfinder flies were attracted to it, especially when I finished washing it.
