What is the point in creating wealth if we are not making our life easier rather making it difficult n void of any comfort n fun. No holidays, no dinners, no parties, no spending .Poor philosophy of the previous generation. You cannot get rich by saving more n more. You get rich by investing smartly whatever you save. Their should a balance between spending n saving. The earlier you start the better.

You can definitely get rich by saving more and more. Just simple math. If you don't think its fun, that's a different thing. Balancing is fine. Look around you, People buying phones on EMI is the stupidist thing to do. This so called cool westernised credit laiden way of life can never create wealth.

In short, Delayed Gratification, I had my fun in my 20s, now since i had my son at 35 , i went deep dive into financial planning, realized my mistake, it was underestimating power of compounding with time, so now I try to hit a 1CR equity targets that already halfway there at 40 (I do have other things but this is priority which i think will be done in 2yrs tops), after that I will let compounding take it from there
