You said the polyadenylation is added by RNA polymerase 2 which is wrong , it is added by another polymerase knows as PAP (Polyadenylation polymerase).
@indrajeetsingh-ev3ig4 жыл бұрын
Yes in Aakash our teacher also told us it is by polyadynelate polymerase not RNAP 2 and clearly mentioned in class 12 biology chapter molecular basis of inheritance

Everything but the end was right. After CF1 and CF2 come in and cleave the pre-mRNA, the cleavage factors and CstF pop off and PAP (poly A polymerase) creates the poly A tail by elongating the 3' OH end. -Slow polyadenylation from 0-15 As -Fast polyadenylation up to 250 As

The CSTF also binds to the GU region not the CA region.
@tai_tai_fish7 жыл бұрын
what have been said by @abz down there is correct.. polyadylation is commenced by PAP (poly A polymerase) becasue rna pol 2 never come with m-RNA transcript .

I think you might have some confusion, let me clarify few things. CSF what you mentioned is actually CstF and CstF binds to G/U rich region. Anyway, I like your lecture. Thanks for this lecture.

Cleavage stimulation factor(CST) binds on GU rich tract not on AAUAAA sequence along with CPSF.Please make it correct! Salute your work shomu da!
@exploringworld58607 жыл бұрын
instead of CA sequence it is GU sequence which is recognized by CSF.

Hi Shomu could I ask does the 5' capping or the polyA tailing also help to prevent the miRNA from degrading the mRNA. Really appreciate if you could reply 😃
