I love your commanding spirit of a coach, and how you were like "come on you can do it" so motivating! I found your channel by chance, because I'm trying to do pull ups, I looked it up, and your video of pull ups popped up first, and I said to myself "I'm gonna be able to do that do, it is difficult, it takes time, and patience, but I'll get to it". I'm so happy I found your channel, you're such a motivation and an inspiration, I'm definitely going to try this workout I'm sure it'll help with my pull up progression. Thank you Summer ❤️

Summer....oh my!!! I got SO much out of this video! I don't mean to gush, but this Core Routine really hit the spot for me. I think the real selling point is your constant reminders to tuck, squeeze, and push through each hold -- those reminders are pure gold!! A little backstory: I "discovered" calisthenics a little over a year ago and have struggled through several programs that I am sure were quite good, but just didn't fit me just right. I had a goal to do a handstand by my 60th birthday this last July -- a goal I reached (if only briefly!!)! My journey had been kind of "down and dirty" at that point, and to a degree still is. But I have committed in this new year to go back, learn and practice correct form, and at some point truly rock a solid handstand with good form and control. All that to say, I really loved this video and I am looking forward to exploring many of your others -- Thank you!!!

Girl!!! This was incredible!!! I LOVED how you were going over the proper form during the moves and constantly correcting it. The life changing sentence for me was about tightening the core "go from your bits, up" 😱 you have no idea ... I felt my core like never before!!

Found you by chance as well. Thank you for the step by step guidance. I had no idea my big toe was to be touching the ground on a bridge. I'm just working on staying injury free as I age and weight train. I'm definitely passing you along to my massage clients. Fabulous coaching.

I am working with you also on a handstand, split, bridge and pull ups and it is really cool to see how everything is connected :) This core routine is beneficial for everything. Wow I was surprised for how short it was how intense it got! Definitely switching up my routine to 75% calisthenics, 25% kettlebells .. very impressed. Thank you!

Hello Summer: Where did you train in Calisthenics? I have been looking for this sort of work for several years. I have followed you along on my mat with your video "7MINUTE CORE ROUTINE FOR HANDSTANDS" and it is both inspiring and outstanding in terms of content and quality. I have Osteoarthritis in my hip joints and the "Isometric" content of the exercises in this video I believe will strengthen all the key muscles surrounding my hip joints through stability. I am full of admiration for the effort you have obviously put in to achieve such overall body sttength. Truly Admirable. I will be following your online KZbin videos going forward.

Hello summer, thanks for yoir vids. I just found your work and have started adding it to my handstand practice. Wondered if you have any pieces about kicking up. I have always relied on a lot of momentum to get to the wall. Would like to have a more controlled kick up. Any advice? I have been working on this for YEARS!!!! Keep on doing what you are doing. Glad you quit your day job.

Thank you for this summer! This is very helpful. I was starting to get overwhelmed with information overload and not knowing where to start as a complete beginner! When it comes to laying on my back with knees bent lifting from y core. I feel A LOT of strain in my neck, even when mindfully engaging my core. Why is this? any reccomendations?? i assume my core isn't strong enough? I've always had this problem when it comes exercieses such as that. Thanks for your help!

Serious question: how do you not do the "bread loaf" with your stomach?? In the second to last exercise, I tried to tell my stomach to flatten and pull in, but I literally couldn't while engaging my core in that position. Am I missing a certain kind of strength or is it more of a brain thing, haven't figured out the proper cue to tell my body? How do I work on that? Also, you're so beautiful-strong with radiant skin.

Just started today. Your videos are very good for a beginner. I’m close to 50 and starting my calisthenics journey. Do you do any machine workouts to built stronger muscles or is it mainly body weight?
@Summerfunfitness Жыл бұрын
Love to hear you're starting! No, I don't use machines. Machines are typically meant to strengthen muscles in an isolated way. Calisthenics is about teaching your muscles to work together.
