I've never been so happy to have started my Anti-sun journey when I was 14/15. My brother may have made fun of me for preferring spf50 and spending my time under the parasol/in the shadow but HOLY SHIT I'm reaching 31 now and it's PAYING so yes yes yes protect yourself from the sun as much as possible

I didnt wear spf like that tbh BUT tanning beds and tanning periodt were SOOO huge in my friend group/high school and somehow i didn’t get sucked into it…? Like i definitely wished my skin was tanner but i was too lazy to actually “tan” even tho it involves just laying there. Now i’m 26 and SO grateful i avoided that shit cus tbh those people looked scaley already 🥲 and were the same ageeee

@@Amila-ym7ny oh you haven’t even started to see the damage those beds caused! The Cancers start around 40! And age spots, thinning skin, wrinkles will keep up and increase as you age. You lucked out bigtime! My Daughter worked at one! They were like Cults for your age group and hers (she’s 35) That One She worked at caught on fire and burned the entire shopping center down! A bulb burst! They told the girls that was literally physically impossible too! It took out 9 stores! The biggest fire in that County’s history! Thankfully the person had just gotten out! The girls didn’t know how to use a fire extinguisher!

@celestialstar124
@celestialstar124 Жыл бұрын
@@oceaneo4603 FYI, you do need to reapply your sunscreen be it mineral or chemical type. Also Spf foundation is base on using a spoonful. No one actually uses that among of foundation. There are however some type of powder sunscreen but those aren't foundation to begin with. You do sweat and move around throughout the day when you do task thus sunscreen will wear out. This is why we need to reapply sunscreen. Cheers. 😊
@oceaneo4603
@oceaneo4603 Жыл бұрын
@@celestialstar124 I did ! I use that amount on my face. And that sunscreen didn't even match my complexion. And tinted sunscreen could be used as a fondation, just like BB or CC cream. The SFP make up I wore was a failed attempt to correct the color. It was a powder one to fix the creamy texture of the sunscreen. I even had concealer. I do understand why you would think nobody would have the balls to go out looking that weird, but some people would 🤪. It was sooo worth it. I was protected all day ('better be with that amount my face 🙄) but I couldn't wore it to go work. 😭😭😭😭😭

@@oceaneo4603 may i know where do you stay? As in which? I am from Singapore so the super high humidity here i really don't think anyone a stand 1 whole spoonful of sunscreen and stay outdoor. I know we will be soaking in our own sweat if we stay outdoor for 2 hours in the sun. Umbrella is common here cos it is more comfortable and provide additional protection.
@oceaneo4603
@oceaneo4603 Жыл бұрын
@@celestialstar124 It was in France. But I've experienced hot temperature. Indeed, cream would run out of your face. I was always casting shadow where or when I could. I also added a little routines during the day, just to rince out my face to re-apply products. Also, you now have different sunscreen textures, stick, cream, powder, spray, that could be more convenient in some part of the world.

This might just be because I live in New Zealand where the importance of sunscreen is much higher due to our very lacking ozone layer but if you can find the cancer society sunscreen (comes in a dark blue bottle) it's not too expensive for spf 50 and lasts a long time, also you can ask around when you're out on day trips and the like to borrow other people's, often I'll forget and just ask other people for thiers.

I always rely on Asian beauty products including sunscreen for this reason - great quality for cheap prices. The sunscreens I get from Korea are usually $10-$20 a bottle and they last me months. Makeup like brow pencils, eyeliners, blushes can go as low as $2. Obvi they can go way more expensive but the very affordable ones for great quality products, especially for sensitive skin types. The quality check for skincare is next level there.

If you're in the UK like me peak sun is between 11am to 3pm. Don't forget just because we're not a hot country generally doesn't mean you can't get burnt to a crisp when its hot and even when it's cool in summer some protection is still better because it can still do damage.

Good advice. The sun hates my skin anyway, so me trying to avoid it a lot of the time has kind of paid off, try and supplement my vitamin D needs alternatively. Also a UK resident, I'm so glad we're having less daylight now in the autumn and winter seasons. Perfect time for me to go do what I need to do in the outdoors OUTSIDE of these peak times while still wearing SPF 50.

In addition to the surgery/procedures the patient had done, the second photograph 1) was photographed in a much softer, more even light, 2) had a filter. The patient 1) had a much softer, more flattering makeup-she got rid of the dark, harsh, aging eye makeup and lipstick. 2) was not smiling-when you smile, lines and wrinkles are exaggerated. 3) has a softer, more flattering hair color. 4) has a matte look to her skin-in the first photograph, hot spots on her forehead, cheeks and chin make her look worse. I can spot these tricks and deceptions a mile away-I'm a professional photographer with decades of experience.

I am SO GLAD I suffered through all the teasing for being so pale in my teens/ 20s! I just hated laying out or being in the sun much. My whole family was always super tan. I did try tanning beds a couple times but was too antsy to lay there for longer than maybe 5 minutes! I now look younger than those my age that did tan all the time😊

The thing for me is, when I have my make up on, I always think it's impossible to reapply the sunscreen because it'll ruin the make up. But I know I need to reapply every 2-3 hours to keep my skin protected. But the make up... any tips?

I have adhd one of the main things* that's in my way of wearing sunscreen often is that i've always hated the feeling of when sunscreen gets grainy and icky and all that jazz anywhere on my body, especially my face. Any recommendations?? (*and the occasional (read: frequent) lack of motivation to shower)(i have curly hair too)

I live in Norway do I need to use sunscreen everyday? All year round? It's common for people over here to take vitamin D tablets because we don't get enough sunlight.

Freckles are genetic and caused by a gene that makes them when exposed to the sun (but babies can have them too) it's just little melanin spots. So although its caused by the sun it's not necessarily sun damage which are seen in sunspots

Freckles are there from a young age, sun damage is freckling that only appears from prolonged sun exposure

Pillow, I am a 26 year old man, but every sun screen I find make me look shiny and oily or burns my eyes crazily. What can I do? I don't know if there is any particular sun screen for men that doesn't burn eyes, leave my skin white-ish or makes me look shiny, oily, like I would wear makeup or something. I also feel pretty gay, it's just unbearable to be that much shiny 😂 I want to just protect my skin, I have dull unhealthy looking color of skin, like without life. I don't know if you understand what I mean, trying to explain it as I know. Thanks for video! That's have awesome content even though I am not into it but it's interesting from health perspective but also looking lively, younger..

It's crazy to me that when foreigners go to my country, they willingly dangerously bake their skin in the sun, I've also observed most of them don't apply sunscreen, when going out to buy something or for a walk, they also don't use umbrellas. Then you will hear them complain why it's so hot and how their skin was burnt. Like bro, what do you expect in a tropical country during summer?

Have you seen the studies comparing the effects of sun on people's skin when they consume a s.a.d. diet vs a healthy diet with no seed oils and lots of fruits and vegetables?

Can you recommend any sunscreens for people with very sensitive skin? When I put on sunscreen my eyeballs start to sting and water and I just have to wash it off again. I want to go outside on walks but I can’t wear any of the sunscreen I’ve tried so far so I just walk on the treadmill and don’t go outside, unless it’s nighttime…

Ive always wear sunscreen and mu skin is joyful af, but what really helped it look healthy was stop using makeup. Like foundation and mascara and any type of dense product with colour. My lashes are long and thick. I use nothing on them.
