Sunken Temple Raid GUIDE | Season of Discovery

Hey everyone! My guild none of the above got the world first clear of the Sunken Temple raid in season of discovery and I wanted to share our strategies with you in this difficult raid. I hope you enjoy!

Eranikus has been nerfed again! HP reduced to 1.4M, only 2 scalebanes per wave, and an invisible wall is blocking the ledge on the side of the room So it seems with the weekly reset some fights changed. Ogom now drains jammal’an. Ogom gets empowered paladin abilities (consecration, divine storm, and hoj). and the atalai defenders come out in a different order

made by someone in guild and it's not being shared publicly, sorry. Fojji has a weakaura for timers but you have to pay for it unfortunately. DBM has been updated with boss timers too though

For first boss can the main tank just taunt upon landing from being shot up or does it take too long to fall which is why the off tank needs to taunt?

They do there is a bunch of buffs and benefits that the groups class stacking are missing out on. The whole "if the fear goes off just wipe it" made me laugh because Pallies and Shammies have fear break that would help with that fear.

That comment was more due to the sheer difficulty of the fight pre nerf. obviously can kill it with multiple fears going off throughout the fight, but it creates unnecessary chaos especially if multiple people run into clouds because of it

Thank you, by the way on a side note: Very nice weakaura there. It's hard to find ones for SoD classes that are set up well per class (with rune abilities being a game changer). Really like the target's dots and the cd/timer below. Spriest ones usually are lacking that.

That second boss fight is weird, im melee and got sucked into it but was still able to do damage from the inside, idk if melee can get sucked in or not, it’s a weird fight

if you are talking about the slime, mellees can dps it just fine- just makes sure he doesn't come TOO close. Mellees just backpedal in this fight and they are generally safe

Just get eaten. You don't have to move anymore so your damage goes up and its a very low damage tick while youre in there.

@@didinuts5071 I think he's talking about the one that spams Arcane Explosion, Shazzrah. This was the going strat prior to the worldbuff meta. World buff stacking allowed melee cleave groups to just zerg it down in a dps race between the boss' AoEe and the group's burn damage.

Ran the raid today, the council changed up order. We had different abilities for jammal'an and ogom could have been different people as well haven't gone over the logs for the night. The second guy was a pally that consecrated and then stuns people in consecrate with a 5 second hammer toss

our tanks on shade are getting destroyed by thrash even when they've stayed in melee range-- any thoughts? Is this an intentional mechanic?

When our tanks were getting pummeled we noticed it was due to melee dps parry hasting the boss.. make sure Melee is adjusting in between tank swaps and standing on the back leg as he turns. We also started solo tanking it with our warrior and fight was going surprisingly smooth (until 30%) because boss wasn't spinning around and moving a bunch.

what are melees supposed to do on rotslime? I assume you can´t stand near the boss... just chill and kill the stone plates?

Some can dps the boss while others can break the things. Let the dispellers know who is doing what so that they prioritize the melee on the boss with the dispels.

Tried it today. You can attack the boss while he is movie and especially when he stops. Just don’t stand in his poison on the ground. You can also go inside with underwater wl buff and damage him from inside lol.

They’re slowable so you want to try to kite then… earthbind totem frost trap, mages using frost bolt or imp blizzard. You’ll probably have to get creative with it but you can definitely do it

Can anybody tell me if MDPS can attack Festering Rotslime while hes moving? I know they can get absorbed and have underwater breathing put on them. I just wasn't sure if it was the play to have them max melee range hitting the boss as they're moving. I would love an answer to this before I go back in for progression on Tuesday.

I play Rogue and I dps it while moving. A tank also needs to attack it while moving or it will melee you here and there.

My group was experimenting with letting melee get eaten on purpose after drinking a waterbreathing pot. We found out you can also trigger the slow down by feeding him enough players lol

Shindigg has a good pov of this in his guide. Essentially you only have 3 ranged stack out for clouds and everyone else stacks in melee. This way adds come to the boss pretty reliably and with the nerf it's easy to kill them before the next wave spawns. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4bVgZyIfsujfLc
