It might help because people are more aware of it and you never know who's watching. It may cost them their job. I report people to their companies every week. I catch people on their cell phones and call their safety department. I caught a RTI driver dumping a gallon of pee out his window a few weeks ago. I caught a guy peeing behind his truck 5 weeks ago and called his company. I also caught a guy throwing garbage out his window on the Ohio Turnpike last summer. It was a Pigeon driver and called the safety department. There is 3 drivers that learned the hard way.

Can’t always back into a space ‘cause the curb heights are higher than the tail of the trailer. Not to mention those particular car haulers are notoriously longer than the dry vans. It’s situation awareness and in this instance you are lacking slightly. Just as the reporter reporting on the guy fixing his flat in the fuel island. My gawd you said it yourself. He’s fixing a flat he needs access to the airline hose because I’m guessing he doesn’t have the airline with the glad-hand fitting. At least the spilt diesel at the island goes along way to semi-sanitize the area as opposed to the spots in the parking lot where I guarantee every spot has had a driver or dog to piss or 💩 there.

Carhaulers have to take up 2 spots sometimes, we are 90 foot long when loaded, and you box haulers are shorter , also the cars hang over so far. Thats why i always tried to find curb spots

I think there should be a parts list to check off before getting on the road and getting a load for all we know he could have already had a can of fix a flat and just had to do it at the pump. At some point truck stop owners are going to have to repaint parking spots or get more security and have them help truckers park and keep the line going at the pump so that fights don’t break out.

As someone who changes tires on his truck, if he's loaded, firm ground a must so truck doesn't fall off jack. Lighting' a lot better than in the lot and every square inch of that parking lot's been pissed on. Hes not getting as dirty as in the lot. His coat is washable. He'll clean up and move.
