Super Mario Bros. Speedrun in

I found a way to save a small amount of time in nearly every level of the game! It made getting a low 4:54, which should have never been possible, possible! Here's how I did it:
I cheated and hacked the rom lol april fools sorry it's kinda late by the time it's getting uploaded to youtube.

@@Kosmicd12 My time zone is CDT and from my experience the Upload Date does indeed use KZbin's time zone (PDT), regardless of what the uploader's time zone is. I uploaded a Christmas special in 2015 (not on this channel) and hit publish about 2 minutes after midnight my time and it still said December 24. I think the same thing happened again when I uploaded a video around 1:45 AM my time. Whenever I want to upload my videos on a specific date, I always ensure to upload it no earlier than 2:00 AM (because CDT is two hours ahead of PDT). Also, congrats on uploading your April Fools' prank before it hit midnight in PDT!

This romhack is great for several reasons. 1, because the TAS can finally save the frame rule in 1-1, which is the most infamous frame rule ever in Super Mario Bros. Tool-assisted speedrun. 2, the frame rules in 8-1 and 8-2 can be saved somehow easier. 3, because more pizza-eating and coke-drinking video about speedrunning can be created with the help offered by this hack.

Saw this live lol. GTAce's full FPG video primed me into thinking that you were going to use that trick to get the 4:54, so I hadn't even considered the possibility that the ROM was modified in some other way. (I was looking out for the mid-air jumps, lol. That's also why I thought that "I don't actually know what I need" at the beginning of the video meant "If I do full FPG, I don't know what other tricks I need to do to get 4:54", and that the whole time, you were just doing warm-up/de-rust runs before the "real" attempt where you'd do full FPG in 1-1 and then proceed to get 4:54. Guess I got April Fooled despite already knowing that it was all an April Fools joke :P )

The switch D pad lets you press Left and Right at the same time so you can easily play with one joycon

Also if using left+right was possible it wouldn't actually help save humans time really. And there's definitely no way someone is executing anything close on switch online version with joycon lol.
