How would he know the religion? And why should he not? Says alot about the other Doc's out there if you had to go down a list of creeds etc to highlight how good a doc this particular one is. Funny no-one says that on Dr Lee's and other Doc's channels that are not of colour. Is it because the patient appears to be a white male that you made the statement? Just curious.
@BettyAnne24024 жыл бұрын
@@Poeticfloetic My statement had nothing to do with the doctor or patients race. I said it because I have been to a foot doctor who believe it or not judged me on my religion. I felt she didn't do as good of a job caring for me because of her distaste for my faith(I'm wiccan, she was Christian) and I'm just a fan of this doctor because no matter what he cares very much for his patients and makes sure they are taken well care of even after they leave his office. This woman I saw tried to shove her religion down my throat and I hate that. I was raised strict roman catholic and left the church for many reasons. My friends said I should have reported her or something but I didn't want to ruin her career so I just found another doctor. If I lived in DC I would see this doctor. So anyway, my comment was just trying to say he takes such good care of his patients and I loved that. No need to look deeper into the meaning of it.

Dr.Jefferson, I want to thank you for your videos because you are getting out the important information about proper foot care. My cousin, because of improper foot care and diabetes, lost both of his feet. He had injured his foot and never get it treated until it was too late. Because of this, caring for My 87 years old Father, God rest his soul, who had diabetes, made me make sure that he visited the podiatrist regularly. I find that as they get older they tend not to complain when they injured themselves. They just take it in stride, like my mother who “doctors herself”, and then the wound compounds itself into a much larger problem. I put a stop to that. It needs to be stressed that for older people, someone has to take the initiative and getting them the proper footcare so that wounds like this does not occur. I understand this man is homeless so I am glad that he is in to get care which is not normally the case. You’re very patient and kind, a great part of a proper doctor. So on behalf of all those who need you, I say thank you for all that you were doing. God bless.

I respect this man so much! He shows such care and compassion to each of his patients in a manner that is rarely seen in doctors' offices anymore. He asks questions and gets needed information without shaming his patients. He speaks to them with respect no matter what their past has been like. He cleans and cuts and scrapes and trims and massages lotion into these damaged feet like he is caring for his own mother or father. He also manages to answer medical questions and teach his staff without making them feel bad for not knowing. His staff is clearly comfortable trying to learn from him. I don't comment on much but I am so impressed that I just had to reach out and say Thank You for being such a wonderful example of how doctors should interact with their patients. You are the finest example of a physician, Dr. Jefferson. You treat each person with dignity and as a whole person. There was a difference in the man's voice from the beginning of the tape as you cared for him...I think he might have felt your caring, maybe felt some self dignity that might be hard some days to feel. Sadly, being formerly homeless, he probably hasn't been "seen" by many people and may have been badly treated by those that did notice him. So often when I watch your videos and listen to you talk with your patients, I am reminded of Hebrews 13:1-2 , "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares". There is no doubt in my mind that you are doing the Lord's work. May God bless you.
