Thank you Andrew. I've been thinking of something to throw little leaded nymphs and things and this looks just the job. Add 5g to the weight of the reel? A small strip of sheet lead taped to the spool before spooling up? Just a thought...

IMO putting lead onto the spool is a bad idea: 1. Reel's rotation/startup would get impaired due to heavier spool 2. Line lay would get impaired If you must glue lead somewhere - best place is the rod itselt at the very of the but section.

Big fan of this rod to be honest, looks good quality for the price, do you think we're gonna be able to cast lures under 0.5g? like 0.2/0.3?

i just got a mifine rated 0.5 to 5g and casted a trout magnet with 12lb line (all i had on me at the time) and it casted probably 30 feet not bad at all

Ordered 2 rods, both rod tips were crooked and the last 2 tip rings were glued completely wrong.
