I'm so excited for this! Been using the hood for general reference for general balancing but this is a game changer!

I would use it for reference but I ended up buying the testo cause I didn’t trust the accuracy, I should have waited lol. I can’t complain though I love the testo too. Jim is seriously a frigin blessing!!

This is great! I held off getting this hood because of concerns about accuracy from others in the field. Any tips on hood placement for round or square ceiling type diffusers where the air is directed more sideways in comparison to those registers you were testing?
@measureQuickАй бұрын
@@joshuawolfer9903 center it up when the air is directed sideways. It’s about filling up the hood and letting the air naturally squirt out the exit.

Ive used the hood on a few different jobs. It doesn't seem to read anywhere close to our engineers specs for 2x2 lay in diffusers or other registers too. It always reads really low. I dont claim to be a balancer either so...

Retry it with measureQuick and follow the process in the video. We made substantial improvements.

Try the restrictor plate. Airflow may be too low.

Seems like this would be just as good as the truflow grid then? Or is there benefits of having both? Assume there is a nice report that goes along with the MQ pro report?
@measureQuickАй бұрын
@@bringbkamerica No, two different applications. System airflow vs balance. There is typically too much leakage to rely on a capture hood for total or system airflow, that is where the TrueFlow comes in as well as total system airside diagnostics.
@bringbkamericaАй бұрын
@measureQuick wouldn't it be possible with the hood to calculate total actual supply, total actual return, then utilize static pressure probes and system data to show system losses? Does Mq do anything like that? That would be a great add on... show customer actual supplied btus and airflow loss compared to what it should be, maybe give a list of causes and solutions.

Can the CPS 200 be calibrated? I need yearly NIST traceable certificate.
@measureQuickАй бұрын
I will check into it. Good question. I would think that you could have it tested at a NIST lab, but I will look into it.

Hey Jim, I have the CPS flow hood, but I also have the testo flow hood. Does the tester work for Measure quick as well?
