Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

The ending was the prettiest ive ever seen from SC. I am an older guy who has somewhat aged out of gaming but i know i will always be around for this one of kind of immersion no other game has to offer. So I tested my Intrepid with all Stealth tech from the Pyro/Stanton stores and got my SCM detection down to 3km (with all systems to max power)/ NAV was at 7km. Hope to use this to sneak into and area and deploy my Pulse from a distance so my ship is never found :) -- Love this video BTW, want to do the same soon.

Just visited Bloom for the first time. I landed on a mountain as my first touch down. Immediately after my foot touched the dirt, the Bloom music started playing. I fell in love with Star Citizen all over again. Gave me goosebumps with them vocals man! Best soundtrack in gaming history.

You couldn't use the legs because another player most have worn them. Currently everything with an inventory that is not an internal/external storage and was used by a player can't be opened by another player.

I got stranded on Bloom with just my Nursa. Trying to navigate these new super rocky worlds with a wheeled vehicle is soooooo annoying. Watching you on that Pulse makes me wish all ground vehicles were hover-based lol

I agree... the noise you hear constantly sounds like a tractor beam and not a quantum drive and is quite annoying. I just love the off-grid series that you do as it highlights one of the ways that SC can be played.

I'd just take the pulse into whatever settlement. If someone blasts you you'll have to reclaim it anyway, so it's not really a loss. And it has a lot of storage for the aspiring scavenger.

I think you'd really play the part if the one upmanship in crafting was continuous, so you can feel the development from say an un-upgradable chassis riding the engine to another one crafted that facilitates what you want to do next.

The Intrepid (in my humble opinion) feels like quite a fast little ship, and seems to have a decent QT range. I've thought about trying to track down some stealth parts to equipe her with for running around in Pyro.

Leaving your shield on at the lowest power: • Prevents someone in an SRV from tractoring it away... Or at least makes it a little more difficult to do since the SRV doesn't have weapons. • Prevents, or at least slows down, players from easily salvaging your ship.

So the way fuses work on ships right now is they limit the maximum number of Power Pips that you can put into your systems if you are missing any of the fuses that come on the ship. I've been trolled by org mates a few times this way.

I just wish there was more roleplay ability for lack of a better word. Living off grid/off your ship isn't all that fun as what is there to do? You can't make a campfire/campsite or hunt/cook I guess exploration is all there is. I'd also like city roleplay and apartments being able to chill. Imagine the TV's played the star citizen youtube videos or some other stuff. Idk I love star citizen when it works but I'd like a deeper roleplay aspect i know thats not for everyone.

hunting is actually in the game "technically". you dont get meat necessarily, but there are a couple of animals that you can kill and harvest some resources from them. So you can role play a bit with that.

I don't know if they've removed it with the latest mobiglas update, but there is normally air quality info as soon as you hit F1. It doesn't tell you whether it's safe to breathe or not, it just tells you nitrogen and oxygen levels in your current environment or something. With some experience you can tell which readings mean it will be toxic to remove your helmet.
