People have these positive memories of the people acting in these films, but the films themselves plummeted in quality and box office after the Donner Superman. To this day, even adjusted for inflation, Batman v Superman and Man of Steel are the most profitable Superman films in history, followed by Donner Superman.

The least believable thing about this movie is that Superman wipes out all of the world's nukes, arms dealers suddenly spool up 50,000 centrifuges to refine enough material to replace them, and the countries that want the nukes don't just do the exact same thing with their hundreds of billions of dollars and teams of nuclear scientists.
