Cas, despite being drugged up nearly 24/7 is heavily implied to be Dean's 2nd in command. He gets a whole cabin to himself, he talks back to Dean, he's included in the meetings & important missions In this future, Cas & Dean stay together from 2009 onwards, Dean replacing Cas' family & Cas replacing Sam

Props once again to Jensen's acting. The way he played 2009 Dean and 2014 Dean where you can see the stark contrast between the two? Love it. And the fact that they predicted the pandemic and how it would affect the world (sports, politics, hoarding toilet paper, etc.) was some Simpsons type level of prophecy. As much as Lucifer tried to paint himself as a martyr and have a sob story about being punished for loving God too much so he can look like a victim, you can tell from his demeanor that he's full of sh*t. He comes off as full of himself and that's why Dean called him out on it and said that he was no different than anything else he's come across, except having a bigger ego. However, there's no way that the future wasn't a Zachariah trick. Dean referenced earlier in the episode that him and Sam are each other's Achilles Heel, so wouldn't it make sense for Zachariah to use that and make Dean's worst nightmare come true: Sam saying yes to Lucifer? Also, when Dean and Zachariah are in the motel room, Zachariah says he got him right where he wants him, meaning he thought what he did had persuaded Dean to say yes to Michael. When Sam and Dean were on the phone, Dean said that him and Sam were stronger apart and I both agree and disagree. Apart, Sam can be an adult and doesn't have to worry about Dean being overprotective and treating him like a kid. Dean can focus on his job and not have to worry about Sam and whether he's safe. In other words, they aren't held back by anything. On the other hand, together, they're a force. They complement each other (Sam brings his book smarts and Dean brings his street smarts) and we've seen the things that they've accomplished together, which probably wouldn't have been possible if they were apart.

ehhh Lucifer definitely isn't full of shit. he genuinely believes everything he says to Dean, and the way he paints his life is the exact opposite of what humanity paints him as. it's not really an ego, just pure frustration for his own life being taken away from him because he didn't like humanity. him "loving God too much" is a flawed excuse but it's a meaningful excuse. the way he talks about Earth is entirely up to debate tbh but in character Lucifer would definitely say he loves the planet God created, it's just humanity itself that urks him because God left once we were created (in the SPN verse). later on during S11 (I believe) when they have the father/son bickering you can tell all of the emotions he felt is true, not ego based. not lies. not saying you're wrong in what you're saying either btw. Lucifer is definitely evil but he's got more than just that to him.

@@SoupBoi96 Well, I do disagree, particularly in the "because he didn't like humanity" part. (Also, God left specifically after trapping Lucifer, not after creating humans.) Lucifer brutally twisted Lilith's soul into the first demon, as well as the Princes of Hell, then manipulated Cain into taking the Mark and killing his brother. Then Cain killed himself, and became the first Knight of Hell, training other Knights. All of this before he was caged. So I'm gonna have to hard disagree with you on that one.

And just because he believes what he's saying doesn't make him less full of himself. I know about the conversation that happens later on and even during that he comes off as the entitled, spoiled brat that he's always been. How I see it, it's like a rich kid who's used getting everything he wants from his daddy and the one time daddy says no or punishes him for something, he throws a tantrum and blames daddy for everything.

This is one of my favorite episodes, purely because of the concept. Time travel is always cool and entertaining, and they did it really well here. Surprising to see that Future Bobby and Dean's Baby are dead. R.I.P. The Future and Present Dean scenes were a trip and a half to watch, but really interesting, because that is inevitably what Dean will become if he stays on this same path. I can't with Hippie Cas. Literally, what has this world come to? Hippie Cas is probably one of the funniest versions of Cas we've seen yet. It's like if you were to take all the goofy, chill, lighthearted parts of Dean and stuff them into Cas, this would be the result. Amazing. It's cool to see Chuck again. And I agree, I feel like if he wasn't a prophet, there'd be no way of him surviving in this future at all. Oh, man. Samifer has got to be one of the craziest, most terrifying, most intimidating version of Sam and/or Lucifer we've seen yet. His monologue was fantastic. Another reason why I love this episode. And I'm glad you guys are back to making theories, regardless of what the comments say. Keep it up, guys! Great reaction guys, hyped for the next! 💯🔥

So happy I got to see this last week on Patreon! One of the best episodes of the entire series in my humble opinion. Jensen Ackles said playing future Dean and 2009 Dean at the same time was one of his most challenging roles. He said it was hard to be in one mindset of 1 Dean then have to switch to the other. The thing is, Dean _was_ happy to be away from Sam. He got his first real friend in his adult life & he's not alone (he & Cas have been working together) He doesn't _want_ to go back to his brother. Then heaven _itself_ comes down & tells him he can *never* stop being his brother's keeper. He can never live his own life. If he tries, the world will _literally_ end. And so Dean goes back to Sam. But he didnt _want to_ he was forced into the choice

Lucifer's story is a great story. He was supposed to be the most beautiful & God's favorite. But he didn't obey God. As Anna said last season. Not obeying is Heaven's murder 1. There are 3 sides to every story, Lucifer's, God's & the truth. These writer's tweak things to fit the storyline. And they do an amazing job. This was an awesome episode & this is a great season! Thanks guys for another amazing reaction & discussion. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next one.

I love this episode and season. I watch and read a lot of stories and always love to focus on the villains. I love to see how they paint them usually that’s my determinate on whether it’s good or not. When they involve Religion, or any common known folklore or myth I like seeing how they interpret it. I like Lucifer in this season he is beautifully done and I wish he would stay that way but as shows go on more powerful enemies come and old ones fade and become less powerful. It like this in most shows that’s why I usually love the first and sometimes second and third villains the most.

Okay brain wtf? Apparently I’m dreaming about you guys now?! Technically, only Nathan was in the dream but the rest were mentioned generally. The weirdest part? It wasn’t hanging out with Nathan in my dead grandma’s house. Or allowing him to take a nap in said house and explaining to my family why he’s there. Not even making sure that he got on a bus to go home safely. To me the weirdest part was the whole dream I was trying to show Nathan the trailer to a series but something kept going wrong. My dream was trying to convince Nathan to convince the rest of the guys on a new show to watch for the channel… 🤦‍♀️ So, I guess my brain *really* wants you guys to at least watch the trailer to Sense8, The Umbrella Academy and/or Orphan Black.
