I remember 9 years ago I had a lady in my recovery group who identified herself as a food addict. A person laughed and mocked behind her back that it wasn't a real thing. I was shocked that someone could be so dense. Food addiction is a very real thing. I'm glad these days that and binge disorders are getting pretty well known. It's a thing. On the other end Sadly now the social communities are trying to label "health at every size" and do away with obesity being a problem!!!!!!! Terrifying. I'm glad you got help addiction forms in many ways.

I think that it's because the skinny one has bad association with food so they unintentionally look down on people who eat a lot. The larger people tend to face a lot of criticism in their life and a lot of hardship so they learn to be more accepting of anyone in hardship and that does change to being more accepting of anyone at all.
@tinkntrix98342 жыл бұрын
@@eleanorcooke7136 you hit it right on the head I think. Being a skinny person with a poor diet, it can make a person very grumpy and generally annoyed at everything because we're hungry gosh darn it. (Even though we swear we're not.) Unintentional fatphobia is a thing. Even though I'm a rail one of my best friend's is a hefty girl she's working on her weight and I'm working on mine, Just in opposite directions. I don't like to consider myself a person who judges others on their weight but I unintentionally do it a lot and it's not something I like about myself. I appreciate you putting it into perspective.

Kalley White I know they struggle as much as the supersize, possibly more, who knows. But constantly complaining over everything and taking the piss out of what the supersizer eats is rude and disrespectful. @harryk86964 жыл бұрын
i agree! i hate the age old "but i don't have time!!!" except this seems like a genuine case of that, you can see that his issues really are with appetite suppression and work struggles rather than an undiagnosed eating disorder. i also find most super skinnies act out because they often just hate themselves so much, and have such destructive thoughts and ideals, their inner voice takes over and verbalises when that amount of food is put in front of them.

It's also not good to eat that fast, you have to chew your food cuz I notice some people who struggle with weight don't take the time to chew which makes your brain think you're eating less than you actually are putting in your body.

I've had an eating disorder since I was 16 (I'm 38 now). I've been 113 at 5'8" Most people don't realize how big of a problem it is and how the people around them don't know. I can say nobody around me knows it but I know it all started when had my now ex-husband told me I was fat and then my mom had cancer then died 3 months later . “We would become a custom to having junk food because it’s cheaper.” Thats is sad but true in America, if the government helped lower the prices of healthy foods it WOULD save some people’s lives.
@PYC0003 жыл бұрын
I would think that carry-out food would be much more costly than making some vegetables and chicken and having fruit, especially if feeding a family.
@Thowslemons3 жыл бұрын
It really isn't cheaper, it's just easier. It's actually cheaper to learn to cook. That's a common excuse used because people just want easy food
@Hi-bd9vb3 жыл бұрын
@@Thowslemons it can be sometimes. But lets say you have pizza one night, it would be a lot cheaper to buy a pre made one or just order a slice. If i where to cook one I would need to but pre made dough(assuming I'm not making the dough completely from scratch) pizza sauce, cheese and toppings. That would easily go up to 20 dollars versus buying a pre made one for about 10 dollars. Of course some things are easier to just cook, but the reality for lots of lower income family's if buying pre made meals is a lot cheaper even though they can be unhealthier
@Thowslemons3 жыл бұрын
@@Hi-bd9vb there are many meals I can make that can feed a family of four for less than $10 and very healthy. You are comparing the cost of junk food to junk food, the argument is that it is more expensive to eat healthy home cooked meals than to eat out at fast food and that's not true. when I was absolutely broke, I would spend $25-$50 a week for groceries for my husband and I (in the bay area mind you). That was probably the most healthy we've ever eaten. If we were to eat out one time at McDonald's it would be $18 for two meals (two drinks, two burgers, two fries), that's 36-72% of our budget for the entire week spent on one meal. It was 100% cheaper to eat at home. I would also consider premade crust an expensive convenience item. I was not rich enough to get fat off of fast food.
@hk46723 жыл бұрын
I don't live there but the other day I saw a video about how people living in poor neighborhoods hardly even have access to healthier food while being surrounded by all kinds of fast food joints. And I notice that more times than not, the superizer american guest seems to come from an underprivileged background. So yeah, it's definitely a systematic problem.
