can't see well on my phone but it looks like the kerotin hair supp has a hefty dose of iron. unless blood tests indicate a need for iron, not a good idea in general for post meno women (and men) to take iron in any kind of supp. .the body can't get rid of iron except through blood loss like menstrual periods. can build up and generate free radicals, settle in joints and brain.

Strontium is great and my DXA improved while I was on it. BUT research shows you should not take it more than 2 years. After I stopped taking it my DXA numbers went back to what they were before. My doctor told me that strontium “colors” the image so the bone looks denser.

TY Glory ! Your videos are so helpful for our age. I really liked your osteoporosis videos , as my Dr wanted me to take “ ACTONEL “ and I refused. So I’m trying to reverse my osteopenia naturally with supplements and LITHOTHAMNE ( red algae calcium ) which I order from France , as in my country ( Spain) you can’t find Alagaecal nor the one you use . They simply don’t even know what red algae calcium is …So hoping that my LITHOTHAMNE helps with my next dexa scan 🤞❤️

The only thing I’ve heard about Strontium is that it is one of the few things that will actually build bone and that it should be taken away from food and other supplements, with just a little bit of water. Many take it just before bed.

Hi there & hello from Adelaide , Australia WOW am I glad I found you!!! I'm the same age as you & have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis with a lumber score of -2.6, like you I'm not at all interested in taking the 'drugs' The research I've undertaken uncovering the side effects of all of those drugs is horrifying to say the least! I am immediately following your advice & recommendations, I'm taking most of the supps you've talked about with the exception of one which I have ordered. I have a question though... do you take the above Growth system along side all of the other supps you mentioned?? It's out of stock at the moment so I can't order it any way, but curious as the ingredient list seems to cover a couple. Thank you so much, you've filled me with renewed hope, I've been so depressed 😢 being pushed by my doctor to accept my fate & take the dreaded drugs!! I feel sure I can manage it differently, you have proven it's possible! xxx Suzanne ❤

@@patriciaacevedo7007 I no longer trust Mayo and have doubts about CC. I've heard too many interviews of patients of Mayo, and the family members of Mayo patients, who were treated abusively at Mayo institutions, including the Florida Mayo clinic and other Mayo clinics. Hello are you still taking Osteocal? Along with the Strotium? Thank You!
@gloryb-tv Жыл бұрын
I had to look up "Osteocal". I don't think I've ever taken it. Pls remember that KZbin videos are evergreen. You might find a video today that is new to you, but the video was recorded 4 years ago. We can't update existing videos. But we can do two things: (1) Add text to the existing video's Description Box; and (2) Create new videos. I suggest you keep an eye out for my newest osteoporosis-related videos on this Playlist - bit.ly/3Ktw2P0 (which is sorted with the most recent video on top of the list) and my health & nutrition Playlist - bit.ly/3XzShdB (where I include videos about supplements I'm taking, whether for osteoporosis or in general). You can also tap/click the little "bell" on my channel and then, in KZbin in general, tap the little bell there and "turn on notifications" and play with the settings to choose a setting you prefer. Then you'll get the updates as I create them. Thx!

The one thing you have to be careful with selenium is that too much can cause hair loss.
@KatarinaS.2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it happened to me and it can happen quickly, just from eating too many brazill nuts (3-4 daily). I have Hashimoto's and selenium helps with that. Within a month I was losing a lot of hair. Luckily it's reversible once you cut back on the selenium (or Brazil nuts, don't eat more than 1 a day).

Grow Bone is out of stock everywhere. Have you switched to a different supplement?
@gloryb-tv Жыл бұрын
Call the company and ask when they expect it will be back in stock. This happened in the fall of 2022. I called Garden of Life and they said they were having a supply chain issue receiving some things they needed for the product. (She said it c/b actual ingredients to make the supplement or it c/b products they purchase for the packaging.) Nevertheless, she was able to give me an approximate date when it would be available & w/b shipping it to their retail outlets. I had a backorder at the time with Amazon. Right around the date the GOL rep gave me, Amazon received a shipment and sent me my order. When this happened in October, the one place that had ordered a lot of Grow Bone System was Fullscript. Through Dr. Shostek I was able to order a box of it. I think you have to be invited by a rep to order from them. I'll have to ask her about that and get back to you...

Let me know what you think of AlgaeCal. Meanwhile, someone in charge of transportation in our country needs to be fired. It's a Lean Six Sigma nightmare over there. :D

What about HRT if I have had a total hysterectomy?
@karenhamilton7396 Жыл бұрын
I use to take bioidentical hormones. It real helped reverse my osteoporosis. She gave me Biest (50/50 estridial & estriol) estrogen, testosterone & Progesterone capsules. Now I live where I can only get the tablets they put under your skin. It doesn’t have the Estriol in the estrogen. I think that made a difference. My last scan showed no improvement after using the under skin tablets 4 years. I’m not sure what you need after a hysterectomy. If you could find a Dr. That specializes in Bio-identical HRT & uses compound supplements are really good. Hopefully when I move next year I can find it. Hope this helps. Also Dr. John Lee wrote a book about Progesterall cream. He has it on his site. His book is called Hormone balance made simple. You could probably get it at the library or borrow it on a kindle.
