I'd like to try fishing but my local clubs haven't really been that friendly, and I kinda would want someone to tutorial me for a bit before I try fishing alone. Plus, not really knowing which licences and bits I need... I can fish vicariously through your lovely videos though :)

All 👍 shows btw I've had a horrible head cold for days and had some miserable weather to boot horrible easterly wind that lasted days I Don't know if it hit your area as bad but if it did you'll know it was just nightmare weather so these episodes of fishing have been a life saver I've even repeated a couple of favourites like this one.

You didn’t describe your set-up. What strength braid and leader, connection, and type-weight of lure ? Really interested to know this as I fish a similar style Northern river by the looks of it.

Hi mate, I explain the set up in the description. The only thing I didn’t mention was the lure which was a size 2 copper Mepps spinner with debarbed hooks, hope this helps!

@@adventurefishinguk Cheers. Good to know the Mepps still do the job. My river looks very similar although more peaty coloured, so will start with the same lure, then maybe move onto one of the RnR spoons if that doesn’t work. What a time of year to be out in such beautiful places !!!
