Congratulations Robert, well I was born in Cologne and spend a lot of time on the Ring. I live today on the West Coast and made 'murica my forever home. I grew up as an Audi guy, my dad had Audi's, so I had them. Audi 100, 2.3 i5, original BBS 3 Piece RS rims awwwwh, than I upgraded to an '02 A8. Well I couldn't bring it with me and so my 1st car in the US was a 1990 GMC Suburban.... with the MASSIVE tank and thirst OUCH.... But I fell in love with the sound of a V8! Today I own a Ram 1 ton single rear with a Hemi, not the Cummins, and yes I always cry 'murica when I floor this monster and my instant fuel gauge show 1 mile per gallon LOL. I miss the Autobahn.... Micha is an awesome friend!! Cherish this memory!

Awesome story and amazing gift, well done Micha 👏👏 You asked what we had as a first car.. Here is my story: In 1997 i bought my first car, it was a Volvo 245 Turbo from 1985. I loved it from start but it was way too slow and thirsty with the original engine, so i swap it for a newer, better and stronger engine, limited slip differential with a lower gear ratio and a newer gearbox. Now it was awesome :) Bought 17" wheels 😲 people thought i was crazy, they said that they where too big , crapy comfort and so on....remember this was back in -97..😆 But i was extremly happy, enjoyed every second with it but unfortaly a couple of years later i had a small fire that killed most of the electric cables ect because previus owner did some shady electric "work" that i dident know about.... Was really sad but i could not scrap it... Next year i will bring it to do some laps at the Nordschleife :D

Such a cool and thoughtful gift! First cars: mine was an early 1970s Chevy Nova painted black and lifted in the back. Also had the red fuzzy carpet. Bought used and for sure had been wrecked as it never drove straight. Loved it anyway. Even more interesting was a 1953 Buick Roadmaster that my grandmother gave me. V8 with power windows and seats. Dynaflow transmission. I had that car while going to college at Texas A&M University so I painted it the school colors of maroon and white. Fun times!

Happy Birthday Robert! Yes we did all have that! Mine was a 76 Ford Pinto Station Wagon, dark blue! All kinds of wonderful memories in that car!including the end of it Feb 79 when I lost control in a snow storm, I’m from upstate NY, Rome, and hit a tree. In 70s we didn’t have seat belt laws so I came up out of the seat, broke my Femur and spent over 6 months in hospital. But I loved that car!

We still have it today and just dropped a 496 big block in it last summer givin her a little bit more life to her. Your truck is beautiful! Good on Misha for find such a gem! I'm your age and my first "car" was an 88 Chevy that met it's demise when I jumped a railroad crossing here in Kentucky. Ended up skidding off the road into a boulder. I am so glad I found your and Misha's channel. You guys are awesome. My first car was a Corsa B, 45 glorious horsepower. It took me to many concerts, carried amplifiers and guitars and very sadly ended up on the roof with me inside due to someone coming up on my side of the road and an ice patch which I hit evading that person. I just sold my second ever car and I miss it at times and maybe one day I will be able to afford looking for one like that again ... Happy Birthday Robert!

Okay, now's the part where I am a bad influence and say you should LS swap it, add bunch of aftermarket suspension pieces/brakes/steering, remove a bunch of weight, and turn it into a Ring sleeper that hurts people in expensive sportscars' egos. Also, my first car was a 2002 Volvo S60 2.4T when I was 16. I drove it like the Formula One driver I convinced myself I was in my head haha, man that transmission hated life. Happy Birthday Robert and that is a very nice present. My 1st car was a 1976 Mini Clubman in Black and it cost 200 GBP in 1988. Isn't it all interesting as my brother was looking through old photo's for a family funeral and came across pictures of my mini and us welding in my sills and floors. Always brings back great memories. With that, I went to work and did the same conversation, what was your first car. Always get the same answer, it was a blah blah and then you straight away talk about the crazy memories that it invokes.

I’ve had several OBS trucks and loved them all. That baby blue is one of the best colors for sure. Oddly enough that same Chevy baby blue was on my first car as well, a 1978 Malibu Classic. Congratulations to having such amazing friends, Robert! I know very well how amazing that must have been. I actually was that lucky too, a few years ago my wife and friends also gave me a car as a surprise gift for birthday. And they too had it all on camera and so :-D It was so unbelievable, I will never forget that moment... Of course it was also a car that came back to my first car ever. It was a project thing and it took me a while to make it nice again, but all is on a great route, the car is complete and running, we just need to adjust a few things here and there (mainly the ignition timing) and register it. I hope this summer my red Volvo 245 box with magnificent red interior will be in prime form. Enjoy your cool truck, take care of it and stay healthy and safe ;-) Oh, and happy birthday.

I love your content. Thank you for sharing. I posted on Mishas video, that over my life, I had lost everything at one time, but one thing. The only thing that I held on to, was my 92 Chevy Silverado, and I am currently fixing it for my sons first car. Loved that truck, and still do. I've been in the automotive industry all of my life, and have worked on hundreds of those trucks. It's hard to believe they are becoming classics. I should send you a set of drop shackles for the rear to level it out. ... and a set of center caps. I've actually got a couple of the factory dash mount cup holders as well. I try to save stuff like that.

Nice to see the truck! My first car ( and my current) is a Fiat Bravo sport. Tuned it to 180hp and changed the radio, speaker system and also the air filter. I might sell it this Saturday but the freedom it gave me was fantastic. For me a "cheap" car with a lot of fun and in gave me some stories.
