Typically you will use the same speaker cables as your other speakers. Your AVR or amplifier should have speaker terminals that say "Height" or you can go into the menu system and assign certain terminals "height" if you have a higher end AVR/Processor.

Hello. What is the point of balanced out on amp etc but then u erode the signal by not having speakers with balanced inputs? U r going back to banana plug?

What is the advantage of using this set up versus a regular audio/video receiver, besides being able to make the speakers louder?

It’s not really for making it louder. It’s about getting all the details by removing the influence of amplification from processing. Basically things sound more discreet as compared to an AV receiver.

Thank you for watching and commenting!!! Yes, you will need a new receiver, something like the RX-V6A should work well. I haven't tried it personally but I've always liked Yamaha receivers.

You are the best Thank you sir .Just got my xmc-2 but if i have 3 subs can i Y split all 3 or ... will I lose my set up for 6 Atmos ceiling speakers . Why they do that and make me use my middle speakers for my subs ...so why do they have 16 channels . I do not understand why they do not have at least to sub input w/o using my speaker channels .Can you help me ?

Unfortunately I didn’t try using a splitter from the center sub connector but I assume it would work. Now, why did they set the other sub connectors to sub or height? I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♂️, hopefully you’re enjoying your new setup 😁😁

Depending on the speakers, you may notice some difference in stereo music but it may not be night and day.

An AVR is just a processor and Amplifier combined, you'll usually get better quality and amplification from seperates
