Hi Doc. I discovered your podcast today. I'm a Brit/Aussie who grew up with narcissistic parents who moved me from country to country as a kid. I spent 3 years in Texas. I didn't realise until today how healing it would be for me to hear a man with a proud, masculine Texas accent speaking about such vulnerable topics. I can't wait to listen to more of your shows. Gratefully, Terry, in France

Hi Terry...glad you're on board. FYI, I've semi-retired to Waco, but I lived my entire adult life in Dallas. My mother's ancestors were from Bordeaux France.

Another fantastic collaboration Dr. C. . Elizabeth is one of my favorites. Both of you help people realize and not further traumatize like some earlier channels actual did. A few got outed as actual enablers of a well known dark tetrad. It definitely was intriguing back then. Thinking it will smooth out is now known as wishful thinking. So from here on out listening and still learning is cognitive maintenance. Pleasure to listen in.

My advice to people who are starting a relationship with a someone they don’t fully know yet is to pay attention to their behaviour and don’t ignore any red flags. It could save you a lot of stress and painful experiences. Also it’s not uncommon for narcissists to be alcoholics and/or workaholics as they’re usually unable to resolve past traumatic experiences.

Great Elizabeth. I knew her already but a conversation with dr C has been a true gift. I'll leave here other dreams of mine... Hope dr C will check some of them. Bucket List From the school "psychologists and coaches with their dogs" 😁🐕 - dr Jay Reid, California - Ms Paula d'Arcy, coach, Ireland (the channel is named Narc Con) From the "school without dogs" 😁 - Dr Rebecca Mandeville. Recently she is also choosing a non youtube way, still she is very helpful for many of us survivors both for her past youtube videos and for all the other new social ways spreading great information. All of these people are survivors of narcissistic abuse or they come from very dysfunctional families or other abusive relationships. The coach from Ireland, she also talks about the spiritual aspects of narcissism. Last but not least, another professional. I recently listened to an interview to dr Tamara Russell, UK (researcher and therapist) > long story short, she teaches a "mindfulness done differently" for recovery and healing from aftermath of different conditions, not only for survivors of narcissistic abuse. Ok. I leave here this bucket list Anyhow, thank you dr C Thank you all Team Healthy

These are great, but how about a series for the narcissist themselves... those that are hitting rock bottom and realizing a change needs to be made? There are very few resources for them, yet lots of resources easily found complaining and commiserating about how bad they are. Help the ones who can be helped by doing a series on self-awareness, empathy, shame, childhood traumas, asking forgiveness. You never know when you'll affect one person and get the snowball rolling toward a better life for them and all around them. (and yes, if you've tried in your own relationships and failed, RUN AWAY from the abuser!)

Narcissists don't see they are Narcissists. They don't hit rock bottom like someone who is empathetic, and has the ability to look inward. They have frustrated meltdowns and are incapable of looking inward. At best, you might be able to teach them to be more covert, but you can't fix a narcissist.
