My initial account from 2019 is still up but I haven't published my listings yet. I tried to create a second shop but was unaware of the IP thing and they randomnly banned that account. Now i've got about 200 products to publish in first account that i've had a few years. I'm wondering seeing my personal details are attached to both accounts will they now ban my initial account?? I'm scared to start publishing but will have to bite the bullet soon and do it.

They banned me without stating why a little over 2 months ago, have filed an appeal 3 times. They still won’t tell me why and I looked through everything so thoroughly and I just can’t figure out why they would suspend me. It’s heartbreaking since my business just started to do so well and they took it all away from me. ☹️

Look at my post above you can quickly and easily open a new Etsy store -- open a quick Monza bank account get a new Esim -- get a new email and use a different browser profile (It can be the same IP) The etsy bots will not link you to the old store even when you use the same name and address multiple times. As long as you change the details mentioned above.

This happened to me, and when I filed an appeal, they rejected me and said my account did not "qualify for reinstatement.", and they were "unable to reconsider this decision.". I never even got past the naming my shop part, and they banned me.

In 2023 my Etsy shop was closed down and suspended due to a copyright claim that was reported. I purchased clipart on Etsy to create products for my business that I sold in my Etsy shop. According to digital download shop's policies, the purchased clipart includes a license for personal and commercial use. There are hundreds of listings on Etsy selling copyright downloadable clipart files with commercial licenses. As you can see, that can be confusing for shops like mine who believe we are operating legally by purchasing clip art with commercial licenses. These shops should be targeted first as they are the source of distributing copyright material while claiming it is licensed for resell. Had I known these licenses were inauthentic and the shop itself was violating copyright, I would have never purchased the clipart to use in my designs. Because I was only selling on the Etsy platform, my business completely suffered and has never been able to recover. Any advice on how to go about this would be helpful. My appeal was denied by Etsy, and I reached out to the attorney who reported the copyright claim and never heard back. -Thanks kindly, Candace

I have 3 stores built, 1 actively with products that I have sold with a bestseller and the others open for a long time but I loaded 10 products in one of them last year and after the first sale they banned my account permanently without explanation. They didn't actually banned your account in my opinion. They might've just put it on holiday mode. Check your payements account, they might be asking for verification. I'm facing the same issue currently, I just hit my 1st sale and they put my account on holiday mode stating I need to provide Government id proofs for verification.

Man i was permanently suspended. Other people stole my designs and they reported my shop. I reached out to support and provided documents that the designs where mine but nothing happened its been 8 months now since incident. Tried to open a new account but couldnt.

Hello. I am from Turkiye & living in Czech Republic. My Etsy account has been suspended due to violence to intellectual properties. I tried many times to appeal & deleted all of my product lists. In the end, I could not get back my account. Also, I tried to create a new account on same IP but it was detected & suspended directly. According to your video, we have to crate LLC, new store name, new business address and new bank account but even if you create LLC and create bank account on LLC, they will detect your name right ? Then how it will work ?

It may be difficult because some things may overlap and that will get you suspended.

Was just same here and I wasted time trying to get support to get my account reactivated guess what? They never did . If not for *_Cyber.kor1* (solution and support services) who got my account reactivated. And i can boldly recommend them if you still havent gotten a solution yet.

Hi, thanks for your video. I followed all the steps, opened an LLC, opened a new bank account, and changed my IP address. @@TrademarkLawyer Thanks for your answer. I think it's an error on their part, I only have digital products and they told me I was violating the policy for handmade products. I had 2 listings that had the word vintage in the title, and Etsy deactivated them on the grounds that I don't abide by the handmade policy. It's like I'm not allowed to put the word vintage in the title of digital products...I've seen this word used in the title of other stores that sell digital products, so I don't understand why I have a problem. Anyway I appealed their decision to suspend my store and now I'm waiting for their response. Thanks again for the reply. Have a nice day!

My account was successful had 11sales with great happy clients 5 star reviews. Only I got a little break for about a month because of my health and then It's was hacked or blocked. I set up a shop 9 days ago. I didn't even get to do anything in it, and it was suspended within less than 24 hours. I followed the appeal process, and I was denied by a random foreign-sounding Zendesk Etsy rep less than a minute after submission with the statement basically saying they don't have to explain why I was suspended or why they denied my appeal, and they don't have to respond to this case any longer. BTW, they took my $15 set-up fee and ran with it, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I can't tell you how many videos I've seen on KZbin and the amount of comments from others who have had this exact thing happen to them recently. It's all automated. There's no human reviewing these cases within 2 weeks like it states. They took my money and gave me no explanation. I didn't violate anything. I didn't even have anything listed. To me, this is starting to look like a way for Etsy to make money from new seller accounts. Is that legal?

A question - we are about to open an Etsy shop selling shirts (like everyone else..haha). As part of our inventory, we would like to sell shirts about a specific Korean group we like (K-pop group). We do NOT want to put the group name on the shirts. What we would like to do is make funny shirts based on funny things they have said either in live broadcasts (like live chats they've done with fans, answering questions via chat) or something they've said during backstage videos that have been put out by the company or shows that the company puts out. It's a K-pop thing to show them, say, camping or going bowling as a group, Often the members of said group says something that fans think is funny and often makes Memes of. Is that kind of thing okay to put on shirts? Also, can we use their stage name (often that is their first or last name)? Any help would be appreciated. We are doing everything we can to make sure to not get any trademark or copyright infringements!!
