I'm a college student and I think the price is amazing. I was thinking "no way that's gonna be under 100.00 U.S", but it is!! I'm actually impressed with the price. I'll be buying the box soon. Always been interested in doing my own nails. It'll definitely save me thousands. Maybe since I'm from California I'm used to stuff being expensive. I mean, my nail tech charges me 65, sometimes 75 a full set so.... 92 bucks is nothing.

would you other people scrolling through the comments buy a cheaper one? a nail buffer, acrylic brush, one small sample monomer and one small powder witha glitter or something to do ONE look? This seems to be a kit for someone who has already tried it themselves and figured with more practice they could save money doing it themselves; An even smaller kit (30-40$) could be a small trial size kit to see if they even like the acrylic method. I myself am a gel nail kind of girl and dedicate one day a week to doing them that way, but without tiny tiny pots of product and just the bare bones, i would have floundered in all the possibilities.

Okay, let me break it down for you: A decent monomer this size runs you about $20, the smaller sized acrylic powders average around $7, the bigger ones are closer to $16 EACH, a jar of glitter/pigment is easily $5, ONE good nail file is about $5, an efficient top coat runs you around $5, a good SINGLE nail brush is around $20, practice fingers are about $1 for a set, a bath bomb is around $10, a hair treatment is about $10, a roll of nail forms is about $5, and I'm betting her secret gift alone was no less than $20 worth. That's already $124 for one of each of these items alone at a professional cosmetology store, excluding taxes, the shipping she has to pay, AND the educational videos she'll be providing! If you're complaining about the price, then invest in a cheaper hobby. I guarantee that this is the most complete professional nail starter kit you'll find for that price. Also, a primer isn't needed for adhering acrylic to the plastic fingers because they DON'T HAVE OIL LIKE HUMAN NAILS DO. I think this is a fantastic idea Suzie! I miss cosmo school and doing nails! I'll definitely be purchasing a kit just for the savings alone!

Marcelynn Thanks for the breakdown, though I have to say I nearly fell through the floor reading that a bath bomb would cost $10 (approx £6) - even Lush and the like are nearer £3 each. However, even by your own estimation of individual costings it comes out as being $120 for $104 of products as surely no one would charge for a 'gift'?? I love watching Suzie's videos, and as I have said in a comment earlier they have helped me get from being able to do myself passable nails to ones I am very proud of and get a lot of compliments for, so I was very excited watching this video. The kit looks beautiful and I would have loved to get it, but I simply cannot afford to spend nearly a weeks income on it when there are far cheaper products, also professional, available. Again Ive said in that post, it would be fantastic i she would consider a second kit with only the nail products to reduce both kit and delivery costs. Until then I will be sticking with Naio's great products.

The videos are going to be online like all the others, and while it doesnt cost us to watch, I expect she monetises them. I dont mind paying a reasonable price for reasonable products, but cannot justify a weeks income. A smaller kit of just the nail products, as I have suggested, would allow her the same profit margin whilst bringing it into the budget of more of us, especially those who are younger or, as in my case, seriously ill and dependant on disability benefits. Sadly it seems that virtually every product YTers put out is significantly more expensive than comparable products by non YTers.

I think this is an incredible kit. As someone who loves painting my nails, I am very impressed! I don't know much about acrylic or cosmo school, but I imagine every student needs to start practicing forming, etc. on plastic fingers. I looked up the price of this kit and for the amount of stuff you get - and good quality stuff too! - it is very reasonably priced. I saw some comments mentioning that there was no primer or dehydrator and I got confused, so I did some research and realised that it isn't safe to practice on people's nails and that if you are looking into being a nail tech this is the very first step you need to take, so I have to say that your call on not providing a primer/dehydrator was a very good one! This kit was designed for those willing to learn your craft, and I think this is a great, great idea. After a lot of practice, people can just buy whatever they are missing to get started as a nail tech! Awesome stuff, Suzie. I just wanted to leave you a comment because I felt like some comments were uncalled for. This was and is a great idea and I wish you all the best!

never in my life did I think that I wanted to become a nail technician. I was just thinking about being a truck driver while I get through school for psychology and human behavior. but I really feel like finding your videos, this is something thsts calling my name. I have been watching your videos non stop since Jenna Marbles made a video that led me to your channel, and I think I found something I can see myself waking up everyday being happy doing. I am so happy that I stumbled on you videos last night!!! I have now gone on a small marathon of them lol. I have always been very interested in learning more advanced nail techniques on my own (I own a salon sized assortment of regular and gel nail polishes and other stuff lol I love nails, and nail art) but when it came to acrylics and gel nails, the more advanced stuff, I never knew where to begin! I wanted to learn how everything worked! Mostly because I have always wanted to try acrylics, but after one of my closest friends had a horror story happen to her at a nail salon (they ruined her natural nails so horribly she had to do some serious healing for almost a year!) I just have never trusted a salon enough. I know that what they did to her is because of improper technique, so I wanted to learn what proper technique is myself so as to never be bamboozled. But the nail world is so vast, I was confused as to why some people used tips and others just forms, what were the best products to buy etc. And here you came like a shining nail fairy explaining everything to me!!! Folks r complaining about the price because u can go on amazon and get 40 acrylic powders monomer 120 glitters 25 uv gel builder gels 20 gel polishes and a lamp plus a shit load of stickers and rhinestones from a company in China for $28.99 U also have ZERO clue what the products r made of so WHO KNOWS wat u are putting on your nail from those cheap acrylics. I've been investing in this hobby now an education for about 5 months now and it's expensive!!!!! But I rather have quality than bullshit.

I bought a 'cheap' kit off Wish and it's amazing. Great quality, nails don't lift, and nothing in it has triggered any health issues or contact dermatitis. I've been using it for months without problems and I have sensitive skin/nails. If there was anything bad in the kit I would've stopped using it ages ago. Cheap doesn't always = Bad.

Amanda Love - A lot of private institutions have that rule. I went to an all girl catholic school for highschool, and we were not allowed to wear nail polish, makeup or jewelry. Of any sort.

its $120 CAD. If shipping to the US, its about $110 USD, still expensive though. I'd love to try it as well. I personally purchased a starter kit off eBay for $20 USD. It came with 8 colored acrylic, clear acrylic, the brush, tips, forms, glue, files, gems & rhinestones, the liquid, & cuticle oil. You can get the demo/practice fingers for about $5. The products come from China.

Suzie I didn't see any dehydrator or primer in your kit...you should include them cause someone who is learning to do acrylic nails needs dehydrator and primer...So is it included in the kit and I missed it??? thanks😊

Maybe I'm missing the point but from watching the video it seems to be an educational kit for people to practice sculpting on the fake fingers. When I try out a design on mine I never use dehydrator or primer on the plastic.

honeybadgerzs I am a licensed professional and regardless of you using this out on fake fingers you should always practice exactly the way, and steps to sculpting or doing acrylic nails in the proper steps especially when first learning how....And one of the main steps are dehydrating the nail and priming it....that is actually one of the most important steps...

I purchased this kit and she is right it that monomer is it smells so good. The product is so easy and wonderful to work with as opposed to less expensive brands that is the one thing I have to say is it is very expensive. But I loved Mike it I love working with it and the smell even when you go to file to put a fill-in you can sit that smell is just fabulous

She didn't add a nail primer because they're dangerous for people to use when they have no idea how to use them. And I'm sure she doesn't want you to blame her when you hurt yourself with it. If you want the primer that bad its only like $4 online. And I don't see why'd you want to get a kit off off eBay? Quality over quantity guys, damn. Its no ones else's fault but your own that you're broke. Save your money up if you want it bad enough. That's what everyone else that's buying a kit is doing. What is complaining about the price gonna do? Its sad to see that she put so much effort into this and was so excited about it and then to scroll down here and see you all complaining. Stop whining. If you can't afford it, fine, get the eBay shit or don't get anything at all. She didn't have to put this together for us you know.

You have to put effort into being able to get these kinds of things is what i was trying to get across. A professional nail kit that you shouldn't even use on yourself is kind of a luxury to be able to afford and for people to come down here telling Suzie its too much just blows my mind. I couldn't imagine the people complaining down here would really be anyone who isn't spoiled. I couldn't afford this kit so i just didn't get it. I didn't go to the comment section and let Suzie, know. I can't imagine someone on unemployment or anything saw this video, went and looked at the price of this kit and felt it was necessary to make it public that they couldn't afford it. But you're right, I shouldn't be making those kind of assumptions.

Love the idea of a starter kit but I never recommend just any random person doing acrylics gel or resin nails if they aren't certified nail techs, as much as there are hundreds of videos on how to on KZbin I think it's super important to take a class because no matter which technique u use there is always risk of lifting and/or infections... just my thoughts... I do think this is great for beginner nail techs though xx
