I didnt know such a programme existed and I am impressed, very cool. And Katana looks like a beast. Also great respect to take so many miles on that GSX-R1000R.

Rapid Res Llieda to Alcaniz and Teruel, then head south on the N330 is pretty special.
@rapidres54967 жыл бұрын
neevesybikes Thanks Neevesy. Keep them vids coming. Great inspiration (The MCN Team). You should do a trip there superbike vs supernaked. I think supernaked will win.

Rapid Res we did a superbike v super naked to the Ring a few years ago. Nakeds more fun on the road, superbike the daddy on track.

what are the settings for road riding long distance on the gixxer? also 48miles to a gallon is just amazing is this after a full system yoshi any tuning done? ?
@neevesybikes7 жыл бұрын
Streethawk_1 everything is standard. If you’re careful you can squeeze out 60mpg. It’s just a can and gives 7bhp.

Is the GSX a good first bike?
@neevesybikes7 жыл бұрын
Gerhard Symons probably not. You want to learn your trade on something smaller, lighter and something you don’t mind dropping!
@FadilKarim7 жыл бұрын
No it's a bad beginner bike because it isn't powerful enough. You'll get bored of this too quickly so save your money and buy a Hayabusa.
@richardsterna750GSX-R7 жыл бұрын
No no no unless you don't mind the high probability of crashing and seriously injuring yourself or worse. My first bigger bike was a Honda CBR600 and the first time I fully opened the throttle on that bike my eyes nearly popped out of my head, that was in 1991. Ive ridden a few bikes since then but I test rode the GSXR 1000 a few weeks ago and when I ripped the throttle open I was taken straight back to 1991, it is a fantastic bike and I want one but NOT a first bike. I would go for an older sports 600, most manufacturers made great models till just a few years ago and Yamaha still do.
@cosmikrelic48156 жыл бұрын
Gerhard don't take this the wrong way, but are you insane? Only Americans buy a 1000cc sport bike as their first bike, normal people learn their craft. A dirt bike is a good way to start, and a second hand one at that. If you want a street bike try a 400 or maybe an SV650 kind of thing. Cheers
@todd17376 жыл бұрын
IDK if you got a bike yet, but my '06 katana 600 has been a fantastic first bike. Fantastic on the highway and plenty of low torque for in town riding. I highly recomend one. You can even thrash it a bit when you're more confident without worrying about overdoing it and hurting yourself or the bike. Also, cheap and simple to work on if you have the mind for it.

I got to ask: cost of hotel in Folkstone, petrol, train, lunch dinner breakfast etc. Isn't it just easier to get the ferry and pay the same amount?
@neevesybikes7 жыл бұрын
Andy Parker but then you’d miss the Pyrenees and mountains of northern Spain on your bike. Stuck on a stuffy, boring ferry, especially in bad weather in the Bay of Biscay is no fun. May as well just fly if you want to get there fast ‘n cheap, but I’ll take the excitement of a road trip any day!
