It’s a technique to make it look like you’re making a difference. That fluid is gonna move right back in a few minutes. It doesn’t just disappear. The only way for that to do something is to massage that way through the whole body and then apply compression garments and in an about 4-6hrs you should start to pee some out. Depending on why it’s there, it’ll STILL be back with new fluid if the other fluid even left at all. I live this.

@@elisamontero4495 the massage pushes the fluid back into the body. As she said, she had a really big pee afterwards. When the fluid is massaged back into the body, the blood picks the fluid back up and distributes it back to the kidneys to filter it out. If you have fluid build up how is drinking water helping when you’re only peeing out what you drink but not the excess? I never understood that advice
@kassidyjordan59046 ай бұрын
@annblake3993 Because (and assuming you have no other condition that is contributing to your excess fluid retention) your body can swell with fluid if you're dehydrated, this is due to a higher sodium concentration in your body. It's one way for your body to prevent complete loss of fluid. When you hydrate, that dilutes the sodium concentration. The kidneys absorb excess sodium, and where salt is water follows , it leads to excreting the excess fluid you were hanging on to. Now, there is probably more involved, but that is as far as I know. If I made any mistakes, feel free to correct me.

My doctor had to cut my calf muscle away from the fascia because it was too tight, he had to shave the bone on the inside of my ankle, he removed a growth similar to a bunion and shaved more bone and put in screws. He went into the toe joint and scraped and cleaned it out. He cut across the top of my foot and had to do a bone graft. He cut along the outside of my foot and under the outside ankle bone and put in more bone grafts and a rod.. I get so swollen and my foot turns purple if its down very long. I understand the swelling and the misery. 8 more weeks befofe I can have the rod removed then months of physical therapy to learn to walk on it again. Yep, I understand the misery and swelling. I wish i could get it massaged but everything is cut up and bone grafts everywhere.

During high school, I went on a trip to Disney World to perform with my school band. We were staying for 5 days, performing on the first day. The bus ride there took almost 23 hours due to an emergency on the bus. 23 hours of doing nothing but sitting down, save for the occasional bathroom stop. During our 5 day stay at Disney World, most of the trip was waking up early, heading to each if the parks at the time of opening, and spending the entire day at each of the parks, nothing but walking and standing in lines for hours. Now, I was not the most active person and took very poor care of my physical health when it came to exercise, and this trip destroyed my leg muscles lmao. It got so painful to walk that it felt like I was walking on broken feet, and I spent the last day in a wheelchair. When I got back home, I had informed my mom (who was a nurse at the time) about the pain in my legs. When she looked at them, my legs were swollen from my toes up to my knees. You couldn’t even tell where my leg ended and my foot began. I was bed ridden for three days because of the amount of swelling caused by the pitting edema. No wonder my legs were so sore that whole week.

I am not a doctor, but reduce salt intake. Salt causes your body to hold more fluid. Eat less carbs and more like Keto diet, but be careful with higher protein. I am only turning 52 and while I sit at the desk all day I would get swollen feet. By having the right diet I reversed this. I am also Indian by the way. My problem came down to lower kidney function. I am working on this by losing weight as I am obese and increasing water intake. By not drinking enough water I can have lower kidney function. It could have been high blood pressure, but I am only borderline hypertension. Read online and educate yourself, don't just depend on doctors as they have been scripted by big pharma to just push pills. Diet is 80% cure. I am living proof as so many before me.

Someone recommended compression socks for postop recovery. It’ll minimize or stop swelling all altogether, and lessen your chances for getting blood clots.

This is what I tell everyone when they have a sprained ankle. I basically lived with sprained ankles as a teenager. These hard massages really help repair.

If doctors were acting as massage therapists who would be the doctors? A doctor is a completely different job. He does his job and he orders physical therapy occupational therapy massage therapy speech therapy etc for people who need those things. If he wanted to be one of those therapists he would be in a different School

A carnivore diet has completely eliminated edema for me. Inflammation CPD test has gone from 20 to 11 in six months and continues to decrease. Carnivore for survival.

Just Brands Indica CBD Pen will blow your mind it has no THC, nor hemp oil, it is straight CBD. I suffered needlessly post-op and couldn't take NSAIDS and I couldn't get my swelling down for a month. This caused complications and I researched my butt off to find a way. They have a website! The disposable pens are a game changer for swelling. I was blown away after my second dose all my swelling went down. Docs didn't care and told me to just take Tylenol. 😕 I knew then I had no choice but to find a way to help myself. I hope this helps someone pre-op and post-op. And you can sleep better, and soon move better, so you can heal properly. Do the massages and this yo you are good to go. 🙏✨️

My feet & legs have been doing this everyday for the last 3 months. Like sooooo bad it feels like my feet are going to pop when i step down. Sometimes it's so bad i can barely bend my knees... I wonder if this will work for me 🤔

I wish more modern doctors were more open minded about indigenous healing practices. This is a technique that has existed for thousands of years in many indigenous communities, so it's fascinating to see it being presented here as some new found wisdom or technique. We have to find a way to bridge the gap between indigenous and modern healthcare practices.
