You gave me a really cool idea at 49:30, where you coax a high elo player into picking up a save game of a losing low elo player, what they could do with that. Not just a handicap vs a lower elo player, but actually being in a substantially losing position of some degree of another. I think it'd be so interesting to see what a higher elo player could make of what he was left, and finding all his stuff, and everything like that

when i used to play in the pre-hd era, this was the actual style i was following. take my time, save in between, too protective of even one unit, then clean the enemy from the map. recently when i saw the de edition and related yt videos it was like a cultural shock for me. seeing viper, hera and other pro players playing, i even wonder how they control the units. but need to say, this is the only game i like and can't even think about any other. so much connected to it.

T90 official, thanks for the build order with fish, I always would put loads on wood, and 7 or 8 on food, then continue making fills on gold and stone while I built fishing ships until castle age. And that cog would not be a hot key issue, they don’t tend to have hot keys at that level. He either used it to scout or miclicked or actually wanted to trade. Or maybe he is trying to learn hotkeys.

No experience with AoE on this, but on other games if you are able to download a version of the game client of THAT patch you can watch the replay. Having said that I've seen a guy on World of Tanks with upwards of 10 different clients. Sadly, not all that practical in most cases.
