It’s not cholesterol you want to lower, but inflammation. Cholesterol is there for a good reason and the body, in its infinite wisdom knows what it’s doing.
@jjjpetersen
@jjjpetersen 3 ай бұрын
Yes. Cholesterol shows up to repair damage/inflammation which means it’s actually the damage that needs to stop & not return. Calcified arteries harden & crack so cholesterol shows up to do the repairs. I like the analogy that the cholesterol are the firemen at the fire & the fire is the inflammation. You wouldn’t get rid of the firemen to stop the damage b/c they’re there to help & then you find out what’s causing the fires. Fish oil, K2 apparently softens the arteries & don’t forget Q10 for heart health. 💚❤️‍🩹💙

@@fool1shmortalHow? NO sugars of any kind, NO carbs of any kind, NO vegetables of any kind, NO seed/vegetable oils of any kind, NO processed foods of any kind. Only WHOLE foods: meat, animal fats, eggs….a carnivore food life plan. It saved my life, completely reversed my autoimmune issues, no blood pressure problems, dropped 50 pounds, and has eliminated ALL inflammation…and it has done the same for millions of others. It is NOT cholesterol that is the enemy (like big pharma and processed food manufacturers want you to believe)…it is all the above vile culprits that I listed. Do your research. I can't believe the comments for this video! I'm amazed how many people understand that cholesterol is not the problem. AFAIK the only people that benefit from a lower cholesterol number are those with familial hypercholesterolemia. Other than that, there is no reason to lower cholesterol. I'm sure Dr. Dazer (whom I bet is a PhD, not an MD - not that that makes any difference) is well qualified to offer this, albeit misguided, advice. I'm sure she means well and is just trying to help. Give her a break.

Before worrying about LDL how about getting your total cholesterol and divide it by your HDL cholesterol and look at that ratio. 0-3.1 fantastic, 3.2-5.1 good, above 5.1 you need to work on it lol. I think like so many other things the LDL will vary with us and some like me have a higher LDL eating healthy than I did when I was not eating healthy but my glucose was high then. Guess what, you will live longer with high LDL then you will with high glucose lol. Cholesterol does NOT cause heart disease but what does your high insulin lead to?

If we eat animals we gain the cholesterol they made for their bodily functions, but our liver keeps on making our own. Now our levels will go up. Plant proteins do not add to this problem, and some have lots of soluble fiber which can soak up excess cholesterol and then this goes out with BMs, and the re-uptake ceases. But the problem does not go away if meat, fish, poultry, seafood and dairy is continued. Super high consumption of animal protein comes with also with fats and with the cholesterol, can line the arteries, making high blood pressure and can lead to heart attack. Plants have enough proteins, but Americans have a love affair with animal protein and cheese consumption is at an all time high as well as obesity and those who are over weight, now comprise 80% of the population. Vegans have a lower incidence of being overweight. I lost 80 lbs. eating this way, it also normalized my cholesterol and blood pressure. I walk on average 5 miles a day. I am 71 years old and do not take prescription drugs as even my A1C is normal: 4.8. I was diagnosed as Pre-Diabetic at age 60. I am active, can hike, bicycle, play with our grandchildren. It is way better than when I started, as I was in a wheelchair with arthritis. No meat meal was worth the suffering it caused me.

There are two sides to this argument. You should check out Dr. Ken Berry and other doctors on the carnivore diet. There are so many people testifying about losing a ton of weight, no more diabetes, good cholesterol, good blood pressure, and a host of other health problems clearing up on the carnivore diet. Are they all lying? C'mon now, don't you miss a juicy steak every once in a while?

I was vegetarian for 3 decades & became so sick. I ate healthily. Veg, fruit, salad, beans, seeds, nuts etc. There’s too much to go into, but after being exhausted & sick for years, I started bone broth, then went onto meat etc and slowly became better over time. I’m now no longer exhausted all the time, my hormones have improved, not anaemic & mineral deficient, my hair has started to come back etc. Nothing would make give up animal protein & broths now. I do hate the thought of eating animals, but I wouldn’t want to live if I had to go back to feeling the way I did. I could not function properly in life.

@@Lilione111 I would not kill an animal with my own hands and likely you would not either. No matter how we think we work our diets correctly, if we have deficiencies, we need to solve the problem with doing no harm as best we can. Hair loss is one of the side effects of women going through the menopause. It happened to me, everywhere except my head. So I am hairless except for eyelashes, eyebrows and the scalp of my head. Animal protein led to gouty arthritis, directly caused by the consumption of animal proteins. We as humans with our demand for meat, meat, and more meat, have cut down 80% of the Amazon Rainforest, in order to grow more beef cattle. I look around at my fellow Americans, and I am frequently the only one in the entire room, or stir or mall, who is neither obese or overweight. Why? If you eat fat, you store fat. However going all carnivore, I tried that before going vegan, constipated me horrifically, We are NOT designed to eat a lot of meat, if any. Our teeth, the ratio of the length of our backbone to the length of our intestines, says we are herbivores. I have buried all those in my nuclear family who ate meat: two died of dementia, two of breast cancer, one by suicide. If I want different results, I cannot eat what destroyed their health. I have to learn how to work my diet and exercises to be under my self-control. Consequently from their diets, whether they 3rd Ed up with cancer or Alzheimer’s, all had Type II Diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary and cerebral artery disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Pills, pills and more pills, and I do not have to buy medications. I take one, which is hormone replacement. ONE vs. 11 or more prescription daily. Meat gave me gout and it was in all my joints. Wheelchair bound with nearly mo use of my hands. Now my hands, back, hips, knees, ankles, back, shoulders do not hurt me. I can and do walk 5+ miles a day. And, I am not adding to the environmental disaster you seem to think is so great. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. None if 5hem have to give up their lives to care for me or my husband, who saw all the benefits I got from eating vegan, but had to have stage 4 cancer before he would even try my food. He eats mostly as I eat now. But women have more heath issues than men do. Even though he could stand to lose more weight, he’s off all meds too. He gas survived stage 4 cancer7 years. Yes, it is a Praise Jesus miracle, but it is the diet change. We grew up in group think, and 5hat you decided to move back to that camp, I am sorry for you. You did not leave any stone I turned. I will not make myself household part of an ecological disaster. It isn’t just me. Our kids and grandkids have to live in a world destroyed by personal excess and to be frank, gluttony. I do not miss the constipation.

I tried three different kinds of statins and had severe joint pain that became unbearable. I already have bilateral tendinitis so having unexplained pain in my wrists was a bit too much. I tried telling my doctor and his response was he hadn’t heard of that side effect. He did try the other two brands though. I told him I checked online and even the drugs showed that as a prominent side effect. He eventually suggested niacin. I actually have berberine, bergamot and even Milk Thistle but didn’t realize they were good for cholesterol. I have taken berberine for blood sugar, but not daily as I’m on another medication. Recent BW shows my cholesterol is 201 so I’m looking for something natural. I can try niacin again. What are your thoughts on niacin for lowering Cholesterol?

Thanks again Dr. Dazer. I've been eating steel cut oats daily pretty much daily along with chia seeds about once every three days. I was hoping that this would decrease my cholesterol. I pray that this has at least been a positive effect. After watching your video I think for me bergamot is best for me. Would you say that bergamot plus phytosterol supplement in combination would be ok to take together? Thank you kindly in hopes that you will respond. Thumbs up 👍🏽 on your like video. P.S. I have been drinking dandelion tea daily for liver blood test result's which my chiro said I can treat naturally plus I've been taking giloy powder added to the dandelion tea. Lastly I am getting to do a detox at some point in the near future prayerfully. 🙏🏽

Thank you kindly. I hadn't read about any adverse detoxification effects so hopefully I can find some info about that. I'm currently not eating steel cuts daily as I had been nor have I experienced any adverse reactions since. Still eating steel cut oats with chia seeds along with mixed organic berries but not daily anymore. If it's not too much trouble, I would certainly appreciate a link or site? that you can send me. I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and God bless. Btw I used to play as a Christian musician and have been in music for quite some time and so I know that you go by ameegrant however the name Amy Grant takes me back a little ways.
