This is a part of having >20k subscribers and even more viewers. There's going to be someone who's negative, I'm sure. Good luck on your trip and come back with a lot of stories. I'm don't think you said where you are going (which is a good thing to leave out), but if it's to the US, I'm very excited for you. I hope your going to a very pretty place. The US has some trouble spots in the larger cities but it also has so many very ideal smaller cities as well. The streets are wide, people follow the rules, mostly. If you see someone that looks Filipino, in a mall for example, you can just ask and you might get some insights from them. You might also get invited to a party, lol. This happens to us all the time and a reason why you'll never be too bored in the US because its easy to get to know people. Keep in mind that there's a big difference between life experiences in the US based on where you live. You can just move 5 or 10 minutes away from an area and be in a whole difference scene. Its sounds like Paul is a Petroleum Engineer or something of that nature. The engineers and technical people have the $$$ to live in a good place and have a pretty good life. Things are expensive and people over spend on things like homes and cars that are more than what they need. The country can empower a person a lot. This could have the effect of spoiling a person or simply making them more assertive and capable. The wrong person will be effected negatively and the right person will go from zero to hero. I watched my wife go through this and enjoyed being an enabler. When we returned to visit the Philippines, she did not return to the Philippines as the homebound and shy person that she was when she left. She maintained her values and Filipina persona however. People complain about America but its has always been great and still is.

make sure you wrap up your luggage bags with some ducktape, just in case... so they can open those only in your presence... if opened, wrap it up again and again, until you arrive at your destination... travel tips from a traveler...
