@panamafernandez4641 Жыл бұрын
I think JM should've split that one down the middle or ruled for the Defendant. The Plaintiff was trespassing & clearly came with the intent to harm. The Defendant was defending herself. Family knows your triggers. If the incident happened somewhere else, maybe the defense was excessive BUT when you pull up to my house, I'm standing my ground. The other issue is a cultural one. JM didn't like that the Defendant wasn't acting remorseful; technically, she shouldn't have to. The Plaintiff quite literally went to her house playing silly games and caught a prize he didn't like. They went over there to bully her. They could/should have arranged to have the items dropped/picked up at church, if no harm was intended.
@jamesconsuela74 Жыл бұрын
Exactly
@synnove1046 Жыл бұрын
How is this a cultural issue? Many judges make rulings based in part on how remorseful the defendant is, I see that often, in much bigger crimes than this one. I don’t necessarily think it makes a lot of sense though. In this case, even if she was in tears, apologizing and saying she felt bad about losing control of herself, that wouldn’t help fix the broken windshields. So no matter how apologetic a defendant may be, JM can’t base the dollar amount awarded on emotional reactions. But I think he should have been held responsible for half. He clearly could not see what was wrong with his behavior and attitude. Now that he won this case he’s going to think that he did nothing wrong. Unless he makes some dramatic changes in his life I pray that he does not become a minister.
@panamafernandez4641 Жыл бұрын
@synnove1046 I kinda feel like you asked the question & then answered it yourself. So, do I need to say anything further?🤔 People aren't going to act remorseful when they don't think they've done anything wrong. TBH...this case should have went to the Defendant. The Plaintiff was instructed not to go access the property by the owner (grandmother) so, he was trespassing. He went over with malicious intent. How/why are is testimony being considered from the admitted assailant? The only reason she ruled the way she did was because the Defendant wasn't acting weak & teary-eyed.
@trekgirl65 Жыл бұрын
None of the issues were cultural. You are so mixed up. He was being a street thug and got what was coming him , looking for trouble, trying to run her over.
@panamafernandez4641 Жыл бұрын
@trekgirl65 That's exactly the point. He shouldn't have win the case, his actions got his window broke. I said cultural because the judge wasn't focused on the guy claimed to be a pastor-apprentice acting like a street thug. She had bias because the Defendant came to court in religious clothes, defended herself from the 2 ton girl & wasn't kissing the judges posterior.

It never surprises me how society has become so petty and butt hurt about, when most of the time they themselves caused 🤨

Is anyone else wishing they would just get to the point? This would've been a 5-minute case if they had left out all the drama to make each side look worse. Crazy damn family that's for sure.

6:16 Stress and drugs will do that to your honey !! 6:39 Who hits a pregnant girl ?! NASTY !! They're all wrong on different levels But you don't go to a pregnant girl's house and take other people with you This can definitely understand why she thought you came there to jump her , Someone have the audacity to put their hands on her and she's pregnant Is literally churche is doing none of them any good !! I don't blame the girl for coming after you with a stick And mase! I pray the church sees all of this And realizes that he is not Pastor material at all !! Shame on all of them !! How do you claim to be religious when y'all act like you never saw the inside of a church !! 10:07 Clearly wasn't ready to be a mother, 11:07 It's funny how the whole time she's talking she doesn't want say and i'm pregnant ?!🤔 So she was eithersaying or she didn't even care about her unborn baby's Well being 16:02 She never said he's dead, See how you twist her words, She said it's dead the relationship in the family.

This case is exactly the problem with the church. People are growing up in the church but not in Christ. Then they see a career in ministry for all of the wrong reason. Finally, they have no real conviction about sins and boast in scriptural standards to defend themselves. The worst part is that they will end up in charge of a church and continue those flawed theological practices. “Many will say to me on that day; Lord did we not prophecy in your name and cast out demons in your name? And I will say get away from me, I never knew you.”

These folks need to make better choices on what Judge they go before. Judge Judy or Judge Mathis would've dismissed him for instigating going to somebody house and Judge Mathis would've gave her emotional distress. Plus her saying she lost her child shortly after she would've got the max. Plus he perjured himself acting like he went to hang out.

Yes, everybody sins, and all sins are equal. Also anything can be forgiven by God. But we are supposed to make a true effort not to sin, not just use God’s forgiveness as an excuse. Fortunately we humans aren’t going to make the actual judgement, and God always knows what is in our hearts.

I find it to be highly offensive when people think just because it's family you should support and have the back of the person with disgusting behavior. The saying "blood is thicker than water" is absolutely ridiculous!

Maybe all the fighting & shit is why she lost the baby?? I’m genuinely confused by every aspect of this case 😂 “I don’t even know what kind of stick it was” wtf??? A stick is a stick
@synnove1046 Жыл бұрын
I think JM wanted to know what the stick was to figure out if it was solid/heavy or something hollow. Or maybe she wondered if the defendant had brought it outside with her with the intention of using it in the fight or to vandalize, or if it was a part of something that could reasonably be expected to be found outside the house, like on a porch or in a garage/carport.

She lost the baby, not due to the fight before, you got lost in the mixed up story of the plaintiff.
