This is the first redfish location post that I actually find useful for general locations. I agree that they may have skipped the Pinellas side of the bay for some reason.

Been fishing MacDill since I was a kid (born and raised SOG)....IF you can find a "buddy" to get you on..BAM!! Even the ponds on the North golf course hold snook, huge bass and tarpon!!

I'm confused by the MacDill "no fishing" zone. I've put in at Macdill Beach on my kayak several times and fished the mangroves westward as far as Broad Creek with no issues (I am in the Air Force). Do you mean you're not allowed to fish around the airstrip?

As far as I know non military cant fish the security zone.

@@HeadFirstFishing zone 9 and 8 where manatee river is. I use a jet ski so I can only go into waters around 2 feet minimum
