In a reply to the discussion concerning the Churchill hull at 5:14, looking at the front of the tank and the staggered square hole in the right glacis; reminds me of a Churchill Crocodile flamethrower tank. Its possible that it was an AVRE (without the turret, hard to tell), if there were lots of bolts/attachment points on the hull sides then it could well have been but I'm more confident that it was a flamethrowing version of the Churchill infantry tank.

Very fitting music. Many samurais used tanks during battle.

Sad to say but as of earlier this year, the museum is no longer open. Not quite sure exactly why they've closed but it has. It was a wonderful place to visit and the staff were great, very friendly and certainly knew their stuff. It was always a place I visited when passing through, sadly no longer the case. Really enjoyed watching the video (always been a fan of the Churchill tank), it brought back some good memories. Fitting music as well.

At 2.20 there is a large grey armoured vehicle. This is P2. A rare Centurion Tank that runs backwards by using a Conquerer gearbox. The driver sits on the left looking over the engine decks (a bit like a railway locomotive). A pig to drive as the tillers are hydraulic and the gear linkage worn and rusty. This must be the one from Shoeburyness unless it has a twin sister!!

The Museum is open again. But most of these tanks are gone. The Challenger, Charioteer, Comets, Sherman, Churchill's, M47 Patton are gone. They only have the FV3805, 2 Conqueror AVRE's, Centurion MK.3, Centurion MK.5 AVRE and a Conqueror MK.2 Left and a few APC's and IVF's. The tanks that have gone have moved to other locations. I'm not sure where.

Maybe if the museum was open more than Wed-Fri they could afford to fix some of the stuff up!

5.14 - it's a Churchill, but not a Mark I; Mark I had a hull-mounted 3 inch howitzer, which was omitted from Mark II onwards. Other than that, without the turret, it's hard to tell what model it is!

@Cougar545x39 Thanks, would never have recognised it as a conquerer -the hull must have been modified a lot.
