Oh my gosh. Wishing I could have gone to the show (I work weekend option @ a St. Louis hospital). Was also surprised to see a former junior college buddy (J. Hey Kat! I just wanted to say that your channel has been a huge inspiration for me and a guilty pleasure to watch for about a year now. I used to be very arachnophobic and I still kind of am, but tarantulas aren’t as scary as most. You and Exotics Lair have been what really pushed me to accept tarantulas. I saw one two days ago that I instantly fell in love with and I had to get. I got a curly haired tarantula (go figure lol) that’s about an inch and a half and she is gorgeous. Just wanted to say thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me get into something I would’ve never dreamed!

I can't see very well that toxic toad at 5:00 but it sounds like a cane toad. Those are wreacking havoc on Australia's wildlife, where they were introduced almost a century ago as a biological mean to control pests in sugarcane plantations. They reproduced out of control and now they're decimating the populations of both carnivorous mammals and (especially) reptiles. The species has been introduced in Florida too but they've caused less damage so far

I went to Repticon in Atlanta yesterday. It was so fun, I haven't been to one of these in years. But I left with my first T, an Aphonopelma chalcodes I named Coconut! Hey kat need some advice. So my ladybird velvet was gravid. I now have tiny babies and no idea how to separate them and when. They are tiny and white currently and due a molt. They ate the mom but she was old and this was her second sac. So they are super fat at the moment.

Really need to go to an expo (in the UK). I have only been in the hobby for a year, but I know nobody with who to go with locally. There is no shows very local to me, and I do not drive at the moment, so it will be public transport for me, which doesn't sound like too much fun going to such an event on my own. Going on forums and stuff to connect with other Tarantula keepers is great, but I wish there was a local club or something like there probably was before the Internet was so popular, so I can meet like minded people in the flesh and maybe go to these events with them. I really want to go to one but it really does seem pointless going on my own.
