There are diets that will prevent plaque buildup, and making the diet a bit stricter will often also reverse it. Look up Dr. Ornish's, and Dr. Esselstyn's work.

That only gets you so far and for the masses this is just not going to work. Non-compliance is a real issue and years of promoting dietary interventions has not worked, had it done so then heart disease would not remain the #1 killer worldwide. This technology will take us beyond that and allow us to save many more people.

Sounds very promising...I just hope it's not too costly once it arrives

I hope it's not ridiculously expensive, but avoiding a bad stroke would be worth a great deal of money.

if you have Atherosclerosis, make sure to check your magnesium and vitamin C levels ... amongst all the other things that are normally checked of course.

Eat fruit daily and you should be good. A single kiwi gives you 100% or more of daily VitC RDA. I like to make a fruit salad that includes blueberries, sweet potatoes, edamame and seasonal fruit. I make a dressing of blended arugula, lemon, banana and soy milk. I also add freshly ground chia, hemp and flax seeds for omega 3. I checked in cronometer and my salad has almost all daily requirements for vitamins, proteins, carbs, fiber, fats, & minerals.

$100,000+ for treatment? This is going to cost a lot of people their homes.

All new technology is expensive initially until it is built at scale.
