Thanks for taking the time to share this build.Not only are you more thorough than the "other guys" but I can understand you talking as well! lol,well, thanks again for taking the time out of your plethora of projects to do this.PS. A playlist with these videos would be helpful for folks new to your channel. PEACE :-)

Hey CPO, long time no speak. Looks great with your Tarot 680, as you know I found out the canopy mounting holes where wrong. I have now moved onto another Tarot 680, but this time I have changed the arms for longer ones and have ended up with a Hexacopter of 1.04m diameter. Having also printed many custom mots for the various electronics, I have never been a fan of Velcro. I like cable ties. Makes reminding all the items so easy with zero residue. This new Multirotor now has 2x8000mah 4S Lipos. Once I get some spec as per flight times I may decide to increase said Lipos. I am aiming for a 30ish minute flight time. Having added a DJI groundstation, Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal, anti collision lighting and custom made retracts. Anyway. I'll email you shortly, respect

I totally did the five dollar plexiglass from the hardware store as a mount for my flight controller as well kudos!

Big thumbs up cpo. Thanks a ton. I cut a plate of carbon fiber I had left over from another project to mount the APM. I don't have thick gyro pads so I'm going to give it a try with kiosho zeel squares at each corner. Thanks again.

Carbon fiber plate is perfect. If I had some, that's what I would have used too. I just happened to have the plexiglass from another project. I thought about using zeal gel, actually. I have some on hand, but then I saw those little foam squares that came with the Pixhawk, and decided to go with that. The zeal should work. The only thing about zeal, is that for proper vibration isolation, it needs to be compressed. The weight of a flight controller doesn't compress it at all, but I assume it will still be somewhat effective. Besides, if you get the props balanced, the vibration should be minimal anyway. I'm not even sure how much it matters anyway. It's not like a camera where you are trying to cut jello.

Another big thumbs up from me, keep up the good work. I've watch the entire 680 build log up to here now, and keen to see more. Thanks cpo!

I think the port labelled "sbus" is actually an output.

One way to reduce broken legs on landing gear I have used is. Purchase 10mm OD tubing with 6mm ID = 2mm wall thickness VS 8mm ID tubing with 1mm wall thickness can be purchased cheap on eBay or amazon.....

Nice frame for the Pixhawk. How did it hold up to the test of time?

Hi, cheers for the vids... What double sided tape do u use??
@WearenerdsShop7 жыл бұрын
Hi, nice video congratulations. A gimbal for that? Thanks
@JPJ3039 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info man. I have 680pro as well, and having similar issues. The tape on the arms looks like a good idea, gonna try it tonight. What was the tool you used to level the motor mounts? That is a pain in the ass with a regular level.

i hope you can give me some tips,i want to build a 650,680 or even a 800 series tarot frame hexacopter and maybe later go for a faster race drone.

Nice video CPO! What's the power specs? (motor, battery, ESC)?
@zinfer18 жыл бұрын
Yo CPO, just getting into the hobby. Chose a Tarot 680P Hex, way over my head, but I dove in with both feet. I think I chose the wrong mode for my Taranis X9D. Been seeing alot of peeps with Mode 2. I think I made a mistake getting it Mode 1 and may need to try switching it over internally. Is one mode better than the other for flying the Hex/Quads? I am right handed if that even matters. What's the general preference on these? Asking as a true newb.

Did you ran the wires inside or outside the six rotor booms?

another quick question: what is your final take off weight??

Hey, thanks a lot for the video, right now I'm in trouble powering an octocopter with a pixhawk, I'm using the attopilot sensor since I have 6s batteries, but all my main outputs are being used so, I wonder if I could power the pixhawk with a UBEC using the aux output pins, do you know if that's possible? I'm not quite familiar with the pixhawk schematics and pinout yet... Again, thanks for your videos, they've been incredibly helpful

hi cpo ! i`m planning to build a carbon fiber hexacopter next summer(800mm-900mm and i would like to have your advice on the size of the booms and frame, i would like to use 2-3mm thick 25mm dia. 375mm to 400mm long carbon fiber tubes and 2-3mm thick plates for frame.....what do you think about my first steps ?

Why would the Pixhawk have to be mounted with the arrow pointed forward if the compass is external?

I'm planning to build this hexi and I have a power question. I'm planning on upgrading the motor system to the e600 using a 6S battery. The DJI iOSD Mark II On Screen Display Module is 12v. How do you deal with that - also adding 4C LEDs?

hi cpo ! can you help me !! i building my first hexacopter tarot t960, and i will use 6 s 12000mah to power 6 x tarot 5008 340kv motors{from pdb} and 6 hobbywing xrotor 3d opto 40amps esc`s = 240amps max , but this little tarot 6 hub pdb seems to be very small to power 240 amps, do you think i can still use it or i should look for something bigger ?

im about to build my first and im looking around on different esc,becs,motors,gimballs.. i want to ask you,is there a possibility to have 1 battery powering the camera,gps,bec and flight box . and a stronger 1 for the motors ?? for longer flight time and better response for the motors and less waves when other features needs more juice. is it possible ??
@NullHyp5 жыл бұрын
08halit I know I’m late and maybe you know this now but yes. You can use two batteries if you like.

I tried auto tuning, but it crashed, then I tried manuall tunning, its still not became stable and crashed. Can anyone help me how to make my build stable and less sensitive. Now when I just touch throttle it rapidly goes up-down. I tried modifying sensitivity, radio transmitter curve etc nothing helped. I want my hexacopter to less sensitive to radio input, smooth roll,pitch and yaw. What should I achieve that?? Flight Controller: PIXHAWK PX4 2.4.7 Firmware version Copter 4.0.5 Transmitter: "FrSky Taranis Q X7 ACCESS 2.4GHz 24CH Mode2 Transmitter with R9M 2019" ESC: Hobbywing XRotor 40A-OPTO ESC Motors: Tarot 4108 High Power Brushless Motor (380kv) Battery:6S.
