Tarte vs XL: The Ultimate Tubing Mascara Showdown! [NEW 2024]

Hi from NYC...Just bought the original Tartlette tubing and love it. Very pretty with 2 coats, lasts all day, doesn't transfer onto lids even with my watery eyes. The XL looks a bit spider-y and clumpy, IMHO. Thanks for the video comparison, gorgeous gal!

I think the X L looks clumpy. For application I blink with every stroke to really coat the lashes as per Abbey Yung videos. Then I add Elf Lash Xtndr and it looks great!

Depends on the look you're going for at any given moment .. the classic is definitely more natural looking on you vs the XL is more dramatic for a glamorous night out on the town 😊

Have you tried the Heimish Dailism mascaras? I've tried the one with the curved wand. It doesn't add much volume for me but it wears and removes well. I love the look of Maybelline Sky High but like you said, it can be a bit irritating, and I find it harder to remove.

Yay! Thank you so much for doing this video and answering my comparison questions 👍🏼 I don't think I've tried the Tarte mascara primer, so it's on my wishlist now. I assume the primer doesn't negatively affect the wear or removal of the tubing mascaras, correct? I think both mascaras looked really nice on you! Like you said, the XL looked a little darker and gave your eyes a bit more oomph.

The XL is the first and only tubing mascara I’ve used. I wear contacts and it’s been a game changer. No flakes or smudging. I really like it but it doesn’t come in brown like the original. It looks really pretty as well. I too have heard the XL washes off easier. I think I’ll check out the Hourglass one you mentioned next 🩷

I keep crossing my fingers that the XL will come out in brown, I don't hold high hopes though! The hourglass mascara is really nice too. I think the XL gives me slightly longer lashes but the Hourglass gives slightly more volume. I love them both 🙂x
