[Lyrics] Blessed be those who have no idols Invoke holy honor, sanctify the patient I don't see the world the same I'm no one's hero, so just forget my name I abhor you With every foolish thing that you say None of it is worth the time: Another meaningless war You don't know what you need We're all so back and forth Nothing is as it seems You don't know what you need We make the same mistakes We've ruined everything What is it this time? What must you call holy? This is your lifeline Nothing is at it seems If I were you I'd give it up If I were you I'd care I'm born to lose With a noose around my neck World be damned and move forward I abhor you With every selfish thing that you say None of it is the worth the time You don't know what you need We're all so back and forth Nothing is as it seems You don't know what you need We make the same mistakes We've ruined everything Born to lose With a noose around my neck yw 🤗

Yeah, the three pronged triangle doesn't mean the crucifixion. The logo is the idol, like many have said. The baby, the goat, the food, the money, are all given as sacrifices to the Dead Throne; the concept Mike and the band were presenting with the whole album. "We've built the world on a Dead Throne." All our possessions, if not taken as idols, are given to the ultimate idol of our lives -- our own personal Dead Throne we worship instead of the true God. This, to me, was Mike's ideals.

I've been listening to TDWP since Dear Love. Every album since Plagues has taken some time for me to get used to, but in the end I've come to realize that they just keep getting better and better. Even when When Roots Above and Branches Below came out I was skeptical. But like I said, it just took me a little time to hear what they were trying to do and the image they were trying to portray before I could understand that they are maturing and putting out great music in each album. I agree that TDWP is nothing like it was back in 2006, and thank god for that! I LOVE Plagues, but I'm happy that they haven't bee trying to recreate that success every time they put a new song out, because then I never would have been able to hear great songs like "Mammoth," "Wapakalypse," 8:18," "Martyrs," and "War". In all honesty, I don't listen to much hardcore music anymore. But I'm ALWAYS watching and waiting for great bands like ABR, BMTH, ADTR, and TDWP to come out with new material. I'm really looking forward to their new album. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be fucking sick. TDWP fan forever! Keep making great music, guys.

+Metal Marauder No this is electro-math-psychedelic-symphonic-melodic-post-metalcore. Get your facts straight.
@MetalMarauder9 жыл бұрын
metallicshah you're fucking stupid first of all because literally nobody is arguing about what genre they are and second metalcore isn't even like some weird obscure sub-sub-sub-sub-subgenre so making a joke like that doesn't even apply here
@metallicshah9 жыл бұрын
Metal Marauder you just argued that with me.

I see myself really getting back into this band, but nowadays, I'm trying to find new metalcore bands that don't have any screaming. I'm not saying that I don't like Mikes screaming at all. (I actually think that he is one of the more talented screamers out there.) I'm just sort of finding the screaming a little bit overdone nowadays by millions of other bands. It really only depends on if the screaming is done for a reason and not just for effect. For example, I like the screaming in this band because it's more for emotion and not just for no reason. So now since I have explained my opinion on screaming in music, can anybody tell me which TDWP album has the most singing in it since they are a band that has mostly screaming in their songs? And while you're at it, can anybody give me any metalcore bands that have mostly or only singing? Thanks!

+DeathMachineJoe totally get you. Screaming with emotions or no screaming at all... Northlane (singularity album), Underoath (disambiguation album), Northlane (Node album), Architects (Daybreaker album), Architects (lost forever lost together album), Bring Me the horizon (That's the spirit album), Bring Me the horizon (Sempiternal) Erra (Augment album), Erra (Drift album), Fit for a king( Slave to nothing album), Linkin Park (The Hunting Party). This list should do a fantastic job, these are some of my favorites album. The vocalists of these bands scream with emotinons or sing with emotions. Though TDWP is still number 1 for me :D

Luffy Joke Central Thanks man! Btw, do you have an opinion on which TDWP album has the most singing in it? I know that I already asked that, but I'm just checking.
@wessteyrn77468 жыл бұрын
DeathMachineJoe 95 % of their songs are a mix of screams from Mike and cleans from Jeremy. But if you want a more 'calm' aspect of their sound, i would definitely recommend the space EP. It's just the perfect mix between storyline, emotional screams and singing.

People who think TDWP is satanic... The only satanic people here is all of you cuz you judge without knowing the lyrics of the songs and their message. Throw the rock the one who is free of sin.
