I love the binder method and use it to organize all of my themes and cardboard templates. I am so glad I found your channel! I've been teaching for 32 years and I love that I get fresh ideas from you! :)

I find it sad that a lot of your viewers couldn't support your vlogmas! I really enjoyed them! But it's good to see your classroom vlogs and how you do things and I love your organising ways!
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
+Rebecca pelasio - My hope is that it was more of the algorithm change. Finding channels has changed, especially if you watch a lot of different categories of videos. The notification alert will play a much larger roll in success of niche topics on KZbin.

It's so sad hearing you won't be doing vlogmas anymore ! :( But anyways, I just wanted to let you know you and your content inspires me so much. I am currently an Eled major and without your videos I wouldn't be as excited to graduate as I am currently. The education community on KZbin is quite small but I'm glad you're not totally giving up on the channel, you're such an inspiration Bridget!!
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
+Meghan J - The timing is a bit of a bummer, but in the long run I think it is probably better. I agree... it has not been easy reaching out to other social medias. KZbin is its own beast and requires a commitment from the creators and viewers to be successful. We will adapt 😎

Love your around the world binder! Had a bit of a chuckle seeing the "how to say hi" for Australia - I've lived here all my life and never once heard anyone say "G'Day" as a genuine greeting! Also, super sad to see Vlogmas end early! I was enjoying it! But I totally get the intensity of last minute editing with very little reward ❤️ that being said, I have watched every single one of your videos and will probably never stop, I just have never been much of a commenter till now.

On my iPad I don't have a bell. Is this just an iPad thing?
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
+Zelma Anderson - I will show it in a video. It is on all devices kzbin.info . Next to the subscribe button there is a bell for notifications. You choose pages individually that you would like to be alerted. All of your subscriptions will still show up in your subscription feed but some people follow hundreds or thousands of channels. Thank you for the support. 😘

I just logged into KZbin on my desktop and "lo and behold!" there is the bell in the top right hand corner. I don't see that on my iPad for some reason. I also just clicked on the bell and found a LOT of responses to my comments that I had missed getting notifications for. I'll have to read them and make sure I haven't ignored anyone's question. Thanks for the info.

Hi - and thank you! Very inspirational. In my school - in Denmark - we teach different grades. Like 1.-4. or 1.-3., and in reality You don't know which grade your asked to teach the following year. We so need a system like yours - but a shared one.
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
Yes. That is very different from most of us here. I know my change from Kindergarten to 4th grade has held many challenges. I can't imagine not knowing at the end of each year! It's always interesting to hear the differences throughout the world. Thank you so much for watching!

@JRENT2098 жыл бұрын
The diner idea is so cute! I know you don't have in-n-out where you're from but if you have Krispy Kreme they will give you paper hats for free for your students! And for any west-coasters, in-n-out will do the same.

Love the idea of dojo bucks! It's a great way to teach responsibility and to save money. If you are only handing out $1, $2, $3, why did you print out $5?
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
Good catch! They will trade in the lower values for $5 bills as they earn more :)

another super video, regardless of what you post, it is always informative and motivating. in my clubs we reward the kids with Kidz Klub cash (sorry about the bad spelling it's meant to be cool!) anyway, could you show me a finished dojo buck as I have never thought of laminating our cash but might do if it works well. I also love the idea of being able to trade them in for some special events. I also love the chef hats, but as I'm no teacher, can you just explain the burger lesson a little bit, sorry to not understand, but I just think it looks so interesting I want to understand it fully. thanks so much

I think I might do a blog on the hamburger unit. It is a wonderful activity and every single kid loved it. Usually, you will have a few that aren't into it...not this one! :)

I'm bummed about the no Vlogmas, but I understand how crazy things can get. Which program do you use to record your spelling test?
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was unfortunate timing for the algorithm change. Seeing the views and comments fall off really took the fun out of the late night editing. I used Quicktime to record the test.

i'm not a teacher but after high school i hope to go into that, what are a few important things that i should do to make sure i get there?
@erikagirl5528 жыл бұрын
olivia doo hey! I just graduated college & it's my first year teaching. I would say pick a college where you're obviously want to go to but has a good elementary program! Every state requirement is different but just do well in your classes, ask for help & take advantage of observing classrooms. Become familiar w education terms like assessments, RTI, objective, CCSS standards. It sounds like a lot but once you begin & find out you really do love teaching, everything will come naturally !
