Back in 2018, as soon as adorable used GT350Rs became available. I traded my beautiful manual 2014 911 S for a 2017 GT350R. All my friends and family thought I was nuts until they drove the Shelby. What sold me on the car immediately was the sound, transmission and of course Carbon Fiber Wheels. I can lift each with 1 finger without a tire of course. Absolutely blew me away as to how much better the Ford was than the Porsche. Just incredible. The Shelby now has 18,000 miles and is worth slightly more than what I paid in 2018, Which was $72,000.00 with 3,000 miles. Classic White with Blue Stripes.

I have a GT350 and have been contemplating trading it in for a GT500... That said, I keep putting it off and holding onto the 350. I've heard a couple car reviewers say it best, and you touched on it as well; other options (ZL1's, GT500's, etc.) feel like street cars you can drive on a track, whereas the GT350 feels like a track car you can drive on the street.

I debated both back and forth for a long time. Go test drive a GT500. It really is scary how fast it is. Its an experience the GT350 can't come close to matching. If you're tracking your car makes sense to keep the GT350.

They are both great, and very different. I had a 350r and traded it for a gt3 manual. Then, I had to go get a 500. Still miss the 350r, such a beautiful machine. Untill I floor the 500. Then I remember why I did it 😂

I have 2 350R mustangs and one GT500 CFTP... I tracked them both.. I put 450 miles on the GT500 and sold it.. the GT350(R) is head and shoulders better than the 500 based on my personal experience..

I have a 2019 GT350. Hands down the best car I've ever owned. The Voodoo engine combined with the Tremec 3160 6-speed manual makes the car so special. That exhaust note and being able to rev up to 8250 RPM is an amazing experience. The GT500 is an amazing car, but I would never sell/trade my GT350 for it or any other car.

The GT350 is a driver's car through and through. No forced induction, high revs, and a manual gearbox. Nothing about the GT500 excites me because GM and Dodge has been playing that game with Challenger and Camaro for a while now. It was a big reason the 350 impressed me so much, Ford didn't seem to care to get into a pissing contest. At least until they did.

GT350 all the way! I got to do the GT 500 Track Tour on the Autobahn Country Club south track in Joliet IL along with a bunch of fellow GT350 owners. Driving it by myself and riding with a Pro driver was awesome! I told the pro that when they told us to start the car my left foot went looking for the clutch pedal. It was fun, but the best part of the day for was when it was time to go home and 20+ GT350 voodoo's started up. Wow!! Had a great drive home on some backroads with a Big smile on my face!

I own a '21 GT500. The GT350 is an excellent car also; while lots of folks love it for very good reasons, the GT500 fits me better personally.

There isnt a single thing that the GT350 does better than the GT500. GT500 is a nearly 800hp track and drag monster. 760hp with a warranty you can't beat that. Nobody who owns a GT500 is saying they wish they would have bought a GT350.

Looked at the GT500, but without a stick, kept my Gt350. Added a twin turbo set to it and now have the best of both worlds. Yes, the DCT shifts faster than I can, but to me, shifting is part of the driving experience.

I'm 56 and I a drive 2011 Mazdaspeed 3/2017 Grabber Blue GT both manuals. I refuse to give up on manuals so I'd take the GT350. I would own a 2017 GT350 if the Dealership wasn't asking for 20K over the 58K sticker price. I still love my GT and if they keep not making the Mustang Grabber Blue 💙, I'll love it even more.

One of the best things about my GT350 is that it never disappears from under you. You're running up and down the gears, hear that sweet Voodoo sound, and the overall balance of the package is spot on. It's all about harmony. As for raw speed, "Only" 525 hp is several levels too much to be exploited on the street at any significant extent, and even on track, driving this thing 10/10 takes a fair amount talent and commitment so the numbers become somewhat academic.

Gt500 is the better "car" overall. More luxury, fast, quick shifting, auto matic and anyone can get in it and go fast. Gt350 is more fun as an experience, raw, visceral, engaging drivers car. Nailed it when they said, best looking S550 and I would argue mustang ever built period. And it takes a better driver to get more out of it which is special. I would rather track/autocross a gt350 because of the experience even though it would be slower in almost every scenario, it is THAT much more fun than the 500. Both are awesome, but one will go down in history has one of the greatest American cars ever made..... one will be just another impressive ford...

Gt500 all the way…ported blower and minor bolt ons and fueling and you have a 1k wheel hp car. The dct is ridiculous and I’ve only owned manual mustangs except my last 10pm. (7 of them all supercharged or twin turbo) the 500 is a boss on the road and I’ve never got more love driving a car than my grabber lime gt500, everyone loves them. The gt350 has no torque and vibration and oil consumption issues. And boost is a no no, No thanks. It sounds great and looks great but that’s about it.

Friend of mind knows a guy from the road course who has both but brings his GT350 because he goes thru an entire tank of gas in his GT500 every 20 minute session on track. He has to leave and fill up at a gas station and then come back. Thought that was funny. As a 2021 Mach1 owner I would lean toward the GT350. Next step up from the Mach which is an amazing car in its own right. I like rowing gears…0

I just purchased 2020 GT350 HE. I was discussing it back and forth with my local Ford delaership. The owner of the dealership used to have both. First he had GT350 and later he got himself GT500. He ended up selling the GT500, because it was not the same feeling as the GT 350.

I guess I’m in the minority based on the comments. I just traded my GT350 for a GT500 and I’m completely happy. Driving the GT500 is just something I can’t describe. Don’t get me wrong I loved my manny but DAMN MAN my GT500 is just angry power. My GT350 was that fighter that threw down hard and didn’t go down. My GT500 is the refined fighter that’s so devastating your opponent don’t leave the first round!

Cobras, Mach 1s, GT500s from the foxbody to the s197 were all affordable. Now you can barely get a fully loaded 5.0 for what a 2013-14 GT500 cost. LoL!

The 2013 GT500 was the most powerful production car in the country, and again, for around $50k. All very affordable super high performance muscle cars. $50k won't even get you a fully option 5.0 today. Ford has really lost it's way with the s550, and they wonder why younger people aren't buying them anymore.

I said it before the GT 500 really does Not have anything extra special because the Super Snake has been around for ever… I know the IRS, Magna Ride, Brembos, and Auto Transmission is great….BUT the best Mustang ever made is the GT 350 because of its exotic Voodoo Flat plane crank. It’s the best balanced touring, and track car! It’s an analog drivers dream. I bought a 2017 and I wouldn’t even consider buying a GT 500 unless it’s a 1967 Eleanor with a Stick!

Why not get an 18 or up regular Gt and supercharger it. You'll have your manual and leather seats with all the power your ever really need plus you can take your time and pick out the exact exhaust you may want and still save thousands of dollars. My 18 manual with and odin and corsa will run a 10.9 quarter mile.

I would take the GT350 for the engine and the unique sound it makes. I would take the GT500 for the DCT and everything else. Basically just take the Voodoo from the GT350 and put it in the GT500 as it is already, and then do twin turbos (even though a supercharger is beneficial, it takes power to make power whereas a turbo is free power, plus I just don’t like the whine that a supercharger makes)

Favorite S550 Mustang would be the 21 Mach 1 Performance Package. The exhaust on that Mustang is insane just like the GT350. The GT350 body is really nice but I would say the Mach 1 body is a bit better. Nothing beats the fun of a 6 speed tremec. These are just my opinions.
