What really sucks is that they are filming the entirety of the usual Conan episodes anyway. Yes the two 5-10 minute video highlights they end up releasing are great, it's so much better than nothing. And sure it's easy enough to find the whole Conan podcast and listen to a particularly good episode. But I'm in the habit of watching stuff, not listening to it. My guess is they contractually can't post the entire video episode, so my hope is that when it comes time to update the contract, they redo it so that full video episodes can be seen regularly here. You would think with the KZbin ad revenue and the in-episode advertising they do along with the increased popularity of this channel, that someday full video episodes posted here would make complete sense. At least that's my hope.
@IDiggPattyMayonnaise
@IDiggPattyMayonnaise 7 ай бұрын
@@MichaelSTaylorDoubtful it's a contractual thing. The full videos aren't anywhere not even his own website, so there's no apparent contract with anyone. Conan owns TeamCoco and I'm just assuming this a branch of his company where he wants to embrace the full talk radio style of original podcasts and keep it separate from his video productions. There's a lot of podcasts under TC and this is the only one with full episodes. If there was a contract somewhere with TC not uploading full videos then they wouldn't be able to upload these. Also the podcasts are edited to clean them up--remove breaks, mix the sound correctly, get rid of any noise. They would need to do the same thing with the videos to keep continuity and the video would 1) take too long to match the audio stream and 2) be very jarring to watch
@MichaelSTaylor
@MichaelSTaylor 7 ай бұрын
@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise You could very well be right. Or maybe it's at some level they are undervaluing their content? As in we don't necessarily think the whole raw hour would be worth posting regularly, so we will stick with just the highlights? If it's something like that, I hope they reconsider. Without knowing for sure I don't think the possibility can be ruled out that their siriusXM deal somehow muddies up the works. I know the following isn't exactly breaking news for any Conan fan, but SiriusXM being an auditory centered entity (I'm assuming, as in satellite radio is still their main gig?) I wonder if posting full length videos isn't necessarily encouraged under the current contract. "In May 2022, SiriusXM announced that it had acquired Team Coco. As part of the transaction, Conan entered into a five-year talent agreement with SiriusXM under which he will remain host of his namesake podcast, which continues to be available widely and is produced by Team Coco staff." Whatever the case, I know I would watch them in full if they were posted. And given the number of thumbs up for the full length format in this post, I know it's not an unpopular take.

Wow, creepy AF. I just wrote a detailed reply -- nothing that should have remotely warranted an autodelete -- and poof, I look back here and it's gone. I do not welcome my KZbin overlords. I think if I want to use my brain in the future I'll just go to Reddit where I might still be able to share my thoughts unedited.

Wow what a fantastic Podcast! All three people are just wonderful actors, and always seem so genuine and believable in the roles they play. Kristen is interesting every time I see her. Love Woody's laugh, it's so infectious. And Ted Danson seems like a very gentle soul who would have a hard time refusing a $10K loan request from a perfect stranger. Continued success... safe paths and good fortunes!

Dam, it is so awesome to see Woody and Ted together! You guys have such great energy and chemistry! The unique ability, to not only find what wavelength every individual is on in the room, but to also be able to meet them on that same wavelength, is absolutely amazing! You both do it so effortlessly, that it makes the conversations very fluid and relaxed. Jui Jitsu came from the Japanese martial art form, Jujutsu. The Gracie's are Brazilian, and although they didn't invent this style of material arts, they are the most well known family associated with it. Ed O'Neil (Al Bundy) and Keanu Reeves have also trained in Jui Jitsu. Ed O'neil actually trained with the eldest of the Gracie family, most commonly referred to as "Ol' man Gracie" or "Master Gracie". Cheers

The 1st time I saw Kristen Bell was really enjoying her first 2 seasons of Veronica Mars which started 20 yrs ago in '04. The crowdfunded movie that followed wasn't a must-watch, but in '19 the series came back and did a 4th season that equaled the first 2. Shame they stopped at 4, it would have been VM's 9th season this year and I'd probably still be watching. Also I don't know what I liked more, her bonkers reaction to Dax surprising her with a sloth, or the DMV scene in Zootopia where she voiced one. Anyway great to see Kristen here with the Cheers boys at Conan's place. She is as ageless as there is, love her.

@@MarcKloosYou might try full season DVDs which pop up from time to time, ideally for your region. I knew this gal a while back who streamed VM episodes through iTunes, maybe there are better options these days? But yeah having Kristen Bell mix it up with the Cheers boys here is terrific. Nostalgically I miss late night show formats like Conan's, but if I'm being honest I like these extended interview jam sessions way more than the 6 or sometimes 12 minute sound bites in the old days. If you haven't found any more VM episodes yet and are jonesing for extended jam sessions in this longer format, check out KPCS. The eps are still here on YT and I'd recommend Tom Hanks, Bill Burr or Matthew Perry as a great place to start.
