I like the AMOLED but still a bit pricey for what it offers. The battery is small compared to other phones and sadly Xiaomi has some huge camera bumps and the UI is not my cup of tea.

In my opinion Xiaomi should have put the mi 9 hardware in this body, or even a bit smaller. I guess there are enough people, willing to buy a phone at this price-performance, but not willing to carry a phone that big all day. Though it may have small battery pack, but it should be able to compensate in comparison to phones that has bigger battery. It's due to a very efficient cpu, a lower resolution screen, MIUI optimizations built it.

Great review! What I must say is that, on the video comparison, the Mi 9 SE has 192kbps audio quality which is vastly superior to the Mi 9's 96kbps. Comparing the two reviews you made on the video recording, the Mi 9 SE is CLEARLY delivering superior audio recording, night and day difference. The Mi 9 SE delivers a full voice sound with all proper low to high frequencies, whereas the Mi 9 delivers a hissy mid/high tone with almost no bass at all.

Do you normally buy on Trading Shenzhen? I purchased all of my Xiaomi phones from a seller called Mi Global Store on AliExpress. I bought the Mi 8 SE and I'll buy this one too. The only reason I keep picking it over the main Mi 8/9 is the phone size. IMO this is the perfect size for a phone. While the Mi 9 is probably not unwieldy it's bigger than I want. The SE version does everything I want / need with the size I prefer for less money. Your Mi 8 SE review seemed a little more positive than this. If compared to their non SE counterpart, which is a better phone? The Mi 8 SE or the Mi 9 SE? I was expecting them to be about equal.

Absolutely great video as always! My tip is that you should a talk a bit more about the price. Yes you absolute enlighten all the pros and cons, but for all the consumer it comes down to: is it worth the price? and for the agressive price-setting, this is a great phone.

Pro tip for gaming: you can pull down the game booster overlay ingame if you want to check cpu and gpu usage and it also shows fps in realtime. You just need to swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen. Useful to check if the phone is struggling hardware wise with the game. Pubg uses about 70% of the gpu so plenty of headroom.

Depends on what you're doing. If i remember correctly, that chipset is as fast as Snapdragon 835. So even if you're gaming, it'll be okay (not the best, but decent)

For mine, with screens that have white background like Settings, I can notice the display turn from white warm to blue cool and backward depend on angles, even angles that normal use. About the audio on the Mi 9, I'm not saying about the speaker but the audio captured when we have to make a video or send a voice message, the microphone is not good at all. And, the Mi 9 SE has a better microphone compared to the regular Mi 9... Now, about my LG G7, well.. I really enjoy using smartphones and I like to test a lot. I love this Mi 9 and I'm really excited to test it out, but my G7 has some great stuff on it that I don't know if I will have the courage to let go of it. I mean, I love the sound quality (speaker and microphone), I like the fact my G7 is waterproof and the cameras. But I'd like to test the Mi 9 because it also has a good camera, but when it comes to video and audio quality (microphone) is where I get stuck! Because the audio really matters to me, you know?

Is there any app or something that will work as a substitute for notifications LED light? Like using always on display mood, which will show an LED notifications? Cause it's a really important feature that is missing there. Sometimes a massage is there but you might not know it unless u see a notification LED flash. It's annoying to check your phone every now and then to see if there is any massages or not!
