When he mentioned Steve jobs, Cancer and iPhone came to mind. 1 in 3 will now get cancer, it used to be 1 in 4 so what has changed in the last 10-20 years and all i can think is we all have mobile phones in our hands now and wifi. Maybe life is more stressful now, i don't know. Good talk.

- What is the Hero's Journey - we and the hero on screen is the same pesron. We feel like this character all his srtuggles and wins - follow your bliss- do that thing which make feel you most joy and do it no matter what- that is the starting place for the real world hero - ❓ what is the hero inside me?

There is a major flaw in this lecture. Campbell said that the hero becomes a hero by making a great sacrifice for others. The hero does not get rich. The hero takes the hit so that others may benefit. Steve Jobs is not a hero. He got rich. He sacrificed nothing. Soloman missed the main point of "The Hero With A Thousand Faces" ( Campbells book ).
@walka11210 жыл бұрын
Yes there is a flaw. It's the stage-terrified inadequate lecturer trying desperately to retain some sort of grip on what he's not even doing slightly well.
@stephengifford680710 жыл бұрын
i think you misunderstood my friend Steve jobs went through a lot to get where what apple is now. Where you think others benefit by money it doesn't necessarily have to mean money wealth and riches, you benefit with convenience, simplicity and helpful tools introduced into our lives which Steve jobs company apple provides for us, he had many failures and all he did was that he got back up and keep going till he got what he wanted then which created jobs enriched the economy and made our lives easier and got the world on the right track to make things happen. people use his technologies to cure diseases or find a cure to cancer design new things create businesses and to make the world a better place so next time you have an opinion get some evidence to back up your theory thank you.

@@judithsmith6538 I would hope taking the Hero's Journey would bring people back to Jesus because we are all the prodigal sons/daughters. To bad Steve jobs was used as the example. I've heard by many people that he was not a kind person or kind boss. That he was actually quite mean and filled with rage..far from compassionate. I can think of far better examples from people with kind hearts, not living from their brain. Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi for example. Thank you anyway.

Who said a hero needs to be nice or well liked? Nobody likes the drill sergeant but he will make the best soldier. Batman, Wolverine, Ironman…none of those characters were individually liked by others as people but their heroic actions and sacrifices made people love them.

Annoying amateur. NEVER ask an audience if "this thing" is working. Be a professional and trust the professionals whose job it is to make sure you're heard without distraction. You undid their work by creating the distraction. Secondly, what on earth makes you think it's helpful to thump a piece of equipment which is designed to take a small sound and make it a big one? Distraction no 2, disrespect for the audio professionals and your audience. Your content is great but please show some trust and respect for others.
