Phantom braking is back as well as micro-acceleration/decelerations when driving straight at low speeds. The steering wheel has jerkiness on some turns. Overall 12.5.4 has these regressions for me on my HW3 2022 MSLR.

YES! This is exactly what I feel as well when going 40 or below. Forgot about the steering wheel jerk.

I have HW3 2017 MS 100D and it still gives me nag on the wheel. I was driving at night, I wonder if that's why?

I used on a trip Pensacola to Orlando eight after the hurricane passed was a great experience, very good handled.😅 I love it!

12.5.4 on my 2021 MYP is definitely a regression. Crosses double yellow lines on winding roads, makes wrong lane choices, and phantom brakes more often. That's just listing a few. 12.3.6 was much better.

I have a new M3 now but had a 2018 M3 with 12.3.6. What made that version unbearably was the lane wiggle. After having that fixed I would never go back

Just got 12.5.4.1 and the smoothness of 12.3.6 has thankfully been restored. Really good update.

use it on the 94 and 80 freeways today and it worked wonderfully. plus it never asked me to move steering wheel, etc. It was the smoothest ride yet - model y 2024 dual motor 3 weeks old.

Speed wise for me it still seems that signs and the driver setting are just suggestions. I had to drive early this morning before sunrise and I was alerted that due to darkness eye tracking was disabled on my 18 M3. It was nagging me on the drive.

Just went from 12.3.6 to 12.5.4 in my HW4 Y and wow what a difference. I was ready to cancel. The hands free fsd is amazing. My only gripe is it changes lanes very aggressively when going onto an off-ramp. Also on 50mph and under roads the speed is very inconsistent. Too fast or way too slow.

For me (hw3) its been a recession and lost some of my trust BUT the no nag is awesome (when the car doesn't mess up).

3:21 where it’s going 10 over I wondered if it was taking its guidance from the car ahead which was going a bit faster. I would post a new video after a week of driving of this same road to see if it continues the 10 over.

My HW 3 version 12.5.4 has been having a lot of trouble with sharp curves. I live in Colorado in the Rocky Mountain foothills and the roads have lots of turns and curves, many of them blind. It takes these curves uncomfortably fast sometimes, getting too close to the double yellow stripe and yesterday actually putting the left wheel on the yellow stripe on a blind curve. It's happening over and over again. ... Also, I've been getting phantom braking again. I haven't had this problem in a while.

If you want it to travel at slower speeds and use lower acceleration, consider trying Chill profile.

Yesterday I drove with 12.5.4 Over all it is much better. Still has issues with going on green lights and phantom braking(lightly)

my M3 feels like it is pumping the brakes very lightly. If I look at the screen I can see the regen line changing from white to green. Once it went into the wrong lane and I had to take over because the lane WAS NOT A LANE!

I tried turning off automatic speed offset today to reduce the speeding in lower speed limit settings. I think thats the way to go for now. Maybe you could do a video focused on the speed issue. . V12.5.4 hardware 4 car.

How do you compare 12.5.4 with 12.5.2.1? on my first drive i thought 5.2.1 was much better but i guess i have to give 5.4 more time and more drives.

I find Automatic Speed Compensation is too aggressive and I don't use it in town. Highway only IMHO.

It's better on my 2024 M3 but still nowhere near ready for prime time. I won't chronicle all the issues that I have seen but one concerning new one is choosing to go 30% over the speed limit in my neighborhood (32 mph vs. 25); even around a somewhat blind curve where cars can randomly be parked on the curb and kids in the street.

I also have phantom braking, steering wheel jerkeness when turning, wants to slam on the brakes at intersections with green light, no cars or people, wants to stop at crosswalks with no people. worse yet.

I never got 12.5.2.1 they took me straight from 12.3.6 to 12.5.4, I have a HW3 2021 Model S. I'll be taking my first drive on it today.

Dude 12.5.4.1 sucks so bad on my 2022m3p this shit reminds me of version 10 😂. Absolutely untrustworthy. Slams brakes for shadows , can’t decide if it wants to accelerate or brake every 2 seconds… what a joke.
