Also had a lot of doubts with the EN, but since everyone was always fawning over the GR Supra, Type R, M240is and M340is, I thought you know what let’s actually give this Elantra going through a party girl phase a shot. Fast forward four months of owning her, no issues (so far), lots of pop and bangs and she always makes me smile. No regrets buying the car and I plan to drive it till the wheels fall off.

I love your channel. I went from Honda to BMW to Hyundai now, and I'm really satisfied with Hyundai cars. Civic Si left me stranded in the middle of Arizona and BMW 530i literally broke down and towed. I still have an old Hyundai Azera with almost 400k miles and 22 Elantra N with 100k miles. I am happy with both cars.

I've owned two R35 GTR's and a BMW m2 competition. I bought a 2023 Elantra N in December and it was the best decision ever. My last GTR cost me $140.000 Canadian and I was always stressed about putting mileage on it, driving it in the rain etc. My N is far more engaging to drive. Cost effective and economical. An amazing product for the money.

the red bars do add to the structure of the car. they are mounted to your rear shock towers, one bar is horizontal it trasfers weight across the car to the other side under cornering/camber forces. the lower angled bars keep the top car stable with the body preventing further boddy and flat bar flexing.

There's only 6 bolts all you need is a 12mm (4) & 10mm (2) socket, and a trim removal tool for a few plastic clips behind the rear seat where all the bolts are. Takes less than 5 minutes and it goes in/out super easily. Definitely nice for people who might need the passthrough not having to destroy the car 😂

Hyundai says it adds 29% more rigidity to the chasis. If it's in your way, and you never track, it's very simple to remove with *basic* (read not magic) tools. @pattiboi has a how-to video

Never considered this vehicle coming from a BMW 230i and currently the Tesla Model 3, but I have a base Elantra as a rental right now and I am actually quite impressed! Had a lot of fun driving back home tonight and even the base felt very nimble. Steering was good. I am very interested in trying out the N version manual and DCT right now! Oh and by the way, you have great taste in the car wrap. That is easily one of the best wraps I have seen!

I will add, that im in EN groups for a year now, and own one myseld for a year. i never saw anyone posting about their engine blowing up, only issues ive seen is: horns going out, some people had some injector issues, fuel pump issues, believe saw one had their throttle body go out. And many people in the group run tunes. Seems so far it's a well built engine.

Similar symptoms occurred on the 2016 Chrysler 300 SRT8 I owned. Hyundai has different body clearance on the left and right sides, so the A-pillar trim comes off. This makes sense if the car is 10 years old, but if it's less than that it's a defect. Chrysler also uses a lot of carbon material inside the car, which slowly warps and eventually flakes off. If you're an American with that kind of experience, you might think Hyundai is a reliable car. Chrysler's assembly accuracy was also terrible.

Just read your comment about never having learned to drive a manual. Don’t delay another day and just have somebody walk you through it. When I was 16 my first car was a 69 Camaro with a Hurst 4 speed. My friend drove it home for me and gave me about 2 hours of instruction on streets,highways and hills. I drove to school the next day,stalled it a couple of times but otherwise no big deal. A manual will always be slower than an automatic but they are more fun to drive. My first new manual since then was a Type R. If you want to learn to drive a manual and have the Duckets…it’s got nice low end torque for not stalling…can even gently roll forward by easing off the clutch without pressing the gas. Its electronics will also prevent you from rolling backwards if on a steep driveway or hill if trying to pull forward in first gear. It also has one of the nicest shifters in the biz so if you’re ever going to pull the trigger someday on learning manual…it’s a pretty solid choice. I love the Hyundai N for the performance bargain that it is but I keep my cars for 15-20 years and have never been stranded by the Hondas that I’ve owned. Most are over 200k and one is at 345k. Absolutely bulletproof cars!

Color works remarkably well . i wouldnt have thought about that choice for this car . Whatever reservations I have about the the chances taken by designers to step outside the box which is a good thing as a rule . particularly for Hyundai who are derivative often , to be fair its common in the industry and Hyundai being somewhat of a new brand it is /was understandable, but this color somehow dials down the aspects that caused some discorance for me aesthetically . My biggest issue with these , some other hyundais and other cars but Hyundais in particular isnt about design so much but the grills look somehow extra plastic with the finish of the plastic . minor point and truthe be told people ask for TOO MUCH in tregards to materials often in general but from Hyundai which ends up increasing the price . I like Hyundai as a value brand ( have owned 2 including current car GT N Line manual) and this car still offers bang for buck which is often what I want . People complain themselves into then complaining about price . There is soo much material in a car one never touches or even pays attention to as well as certain details I dont care about when price is right and having choices is great . No shame in filling a niche like Hyundai has and does . If one wants to spend they can get a Toyota Civic R or a nightmare as pointed out and get a german car . I cant think of too mant cars that get higher praise from reviewers who enjoy driving . This car has more handling and power for enthusiast driving then the VAST majority of people can exploit . Acceleration is unquestionably fun but also has downsides to fun and driveability when you have a car with too much potential that makes pushing it impossible except on track leaving you with no fun on public roads EXCEPT for acceleration and possibility of problems with liscence . I own a 19 GT N Line which is called an Elantra but is in fact an I30 and different , comes with Michelin PS4S tires and has rediculous levels of grip for technical roads and being far below this cars potential I can not easily find the edge as it handles so good for what it is with its measly 200 hp and lack of LSD . But the amount of speed you can attack turns with is scary and WAY beyond the " sports" seats ability to keep you from being stuck to the door and barley managing to hold on to steering wheel while the car takes turns at speeds that are kooky pants for this or any car on public roads I would actually expect to upset the car / cause terminal understeer and be BAD and yet its not the case . With proper seats it would be easier but still NUTS and their is a point of dimishing returns for performance cars that are driven on road , especially ones that serve as transportation . This is why soo many people buy ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE cars and all their videos are about STRAIGHTLINE ACCELERATION TESTS against the clock or another car instead of driving them HARD on back roads etc . Truth is , the cars abilitys far exceed what would be anywhere near sane or safe for all but the best drivers and even then anti social behaviour in many to most cases which then makes the car in fact not FUN . Fun is not a function of potential or #s but rather INTERACTION with the car or anything serving as a toy of which this car is MEANT TO BE and if not bought with that purpose you made a bad choice and or may be a poser . Your choice to play with your toys as you see fit and to your ability but this is a DUAL PURPOSE car or Tripple Purpose being transportation , a car to drive aggressively on road in right situations and a car you can do some track driving on if you dont ask too much of it in the amount of laps etc but can be used for some track driving and formal stuff but mostly will be used to have fun on road in your transportation and in that case , particularly for technical stuff like winding back roads exceeds most divers abilities unless your balls are bigger then your brain in which case no car will protect you from yourself . With a competent driver it will be difficult for a non competent driver to keep up with you on technical roads regardless of what they are driving . For some folks this car will not be enough . For me I enjoy playing with slip angle so this is not optimum for certain things but for GOING FAST on twisty roads this is a pretty good weapon and if and when you discover you can push it at 9 10ths consistently and now bored and needing more car , thats awesome , your a very skilled driver and hopefully you have the money to pay for mods and associated costs or higher end or higher performing cars but if most people are honest and remove their ego they will realize this car is in fact BETTER then they are . To what degree will be different and for some not the case , but for a wide margin of people this is a lot of performance for getting after back roads which IMO is what is actually FUN in street cars . You can stil have some top speed thrills in it as well even if not a 200 mph car as well . This owner is at least HONEST which is great . Admits the goofy personal reasons why he likes stuff as well as aware of his limitations and not afraid to admit them . I would like to own both the Stingray and this but both have upsides but for driving on street the Hyundai . Giant empty parking area where you can make your own " track " and play with slip angle / drift , etc the Stingray is infinitely more fun . I think the car suits the driver in this case . Im not a fan of paying beyond my means for toys or for appliances and this is a good price point for what it is and what it does .

It’s not bad at all in the snow, but make sure to purchase winter tires. The car comes with summer tires so it will have 0 traction obviously. I have not had issues driving in like 3 or 4 inches of snow, I haven’t had more than that yet to test.

Or hyundais in general all the engine issues 9/10 its due to improper tunning and completely ignoring NORMAL wear and tare maintenance, Pathetic if you ask me... Sporty looking car with from my understanding quite a bit of power and plenty of torque and every review iv read or heard its a blast to drive, im currently looking into purchasing one, i have a tuned 16 ram sport 5.7 pushing up near 580hp and a tad over 600lb torque, its been parked lately due to having 250k+ miles, so iv been driving our 3rd car (2020 kia forte lxs) with the basic 2.0 (147hp) extremely slow and the torque is gawdowffle opossed to my truck so really curious if the performance of the elantra N would satisfy the middle ground....? The price point is dam near perfect.

It starts by default with the valves closed, and it only opens the valves if you put it in Sport or N modes. It's still kind of loud with the valves closed, but shouldn't bother neighbors.

I have the 23 Elantra SEL w/ con. package, and I put my phone in the same spot to the left of the gauge cluster, except I have a magsafe charger there instead of a phone holder. Also my oil change is only 55 dollars lol

The fuel economy is your driving. I get 49 mpg regularly and on a long trip did a 52 mpg

You can use reg gas. The pt car will adjust to the fuel you put in. The system is flawed though. It's hit or miss to get full boost when you put 93oct in.

The front bumper and hood were wrapped, the people who did it or if you did it didn’t align it correctly!

Although this is true that they were wrapped, you do not remove the front bumper or hood to wrap a car. In addition I had this issue before getting the car wrapped and a couple other people that don't have the car wrapped also had the issue.

Getting a turbo replaced at a Hyundai dealership will cost you about the same as getting two turbos replaced at a BMW dealership. Keep that in mind when you think just because it's a Hyundai it'll be cheaper to maintain. If you're scared of maintenance costs don't even bother with these after warranty, otherwise they are good cars, you get a whole lot for your money.

Did you make a mistake? Just with the paint job. I see the remnant of intense blue that is on my 6-speed Elantra N. Don't buy this car if you want to be a poser and impress all the people who only know about car brands and hood ornaments. If you want to buy a car that is basically already modified for you and comes from the factory the way most of us would want, and is super fun to drive for a very reasonable price then buy one. If you want the brand that all the posers know about then buy something else. I'm not gonna mention the brands and get people upset, he-he.
