These guys who are like "don't stand out but also be an individual" are always the most unhinged looking dudes screaming at a camera. Saying something louder doesnt make it right, my guy. Contradictions like that help increase the anxiety in insecure viewers, increasing their desperation to consume this bs - just feeds the cycle from that point.

I get that sounds like a contradiction but I think that just means don’t make yourself look weird and too unique but also don’t follow trends. Like don’t have an outdated, unflattering hairstyle but also don’t have a trendy broccoli head one…which is also usually unflattering on anyone. It’s just like the “emo” hairstyle in the early to mid 2000’s - the first guys to have them looked cool but not anymore when almost every guy did in the local music scene.

Statement socks are a staple for anyone with personality, and many people with style! What was that guy on?? Also, women will be disappointed with MANY things about men, but almost never their rings.
@catherine_4044 ай бұрын
As a woman, the only universal advice about their image to men (and women and others actually) is, BE DECENTLY CLEAN, don't wear dirty stinky clothes. I can elaborate, like, change socks daily, but your pants you can wear several times etc., etc., but these are details. And cologne won't mask the stench. And I don't recommend wearing torn clothes, mend or throw away stuff you wear in public. On other specifics (turtleneck or not) - tastes differ. Oh, and, as a woman and in general, I don't want to be in the same room with these dudes aggressively promoting this or that about clothes and behaviour. Being chill, kind, and funny, being compassionate and attentive, helpful and respectful, being honest and true will bring you friends, and maybe closer relations much better than any sort of watch, tie, or handshake. It's nice to look nice, but, beyond the first impression, looks won't get you far. Looks are not unimportant, grooming is great, but you have the whole you behind that facade, just like there is a whole house behind its... facade.

Saving up for a good fitting with a pro tailor is actually great advice! Especially if you buy your clothes second hand ^^ Even if you're poor, you should try to find a good affordable tailor in your area, get your favourite jacket fitted, and one good outfit! You won't be taken aback even in the events of a sudden invitation, and you'll look your best! And if your fitted outfit is, for example, a simple suit, you can always accessorize differently so it looks new every time ^-^// Return to do fitting if you lose or gain a lot of weight too! (Seriously...I'm poor, and at least half my clothes are custom sized. Finding a trustful affordable tailor is easy in nearly all countries, and you won't believe the difference it makes! Or even better...learn to sew yourself if you can! Super useful!)💙 Other than that....I disagree with everything, just be yourself lol

14:40 women intuitively translate body language and thus know when something's off, or so I've read. They scored on average much better on tests where they had to decode it (can't remember the details but there's this book "definitive book on body language" or however it was called that talked about it). Though, doing body language on purpose is a different story and it's shocking how certain gestures can change other's perception of you. Sunglasses are not good advice (because you may seem untrustworthy because we can't see your eyes) and man-spreading is frowned upon. The handshake explanation and open-palm explanation seems to be correct tho.

They all smell the same to me and are crazy overpowering no matter how much is used. My boyfriend doesn't wear any, and I love being able to smell HIM, not a fragrance plastered onto him. The dude makes a lot of blanket statements about "what women want". Has he ever met an actual woman? More than one? I'm beginning to think not.
