Oh the memories… Last year in October, I visited Scandinavia for the first time. Three weeks Roadtrip, only me and my Model Y LR which was 5 months old at that time. Went from Frankfurt ish over Denmark, Swedenroute with stops in Vänersborg, Umea, Gällivare to Honningsvag and then back through Norway over Skibotn, Mo I Rana, Narvik, Trondheim, Lillehammer, Superchargerstop in Jessheim 😅🥰 and lastly Kristiansand to the Ferry. I will never forget the sheer beauty of your Country Björn. God bless you, greetings from Germany and always safe travels and bring salad!

Part of the "suspension magic" in the Highland is "frequency dependent damping." This is not the more sophisticated computer controlled damping on the new M3 Performance, but the dampers (aka "shock absorbers") respond differently to higher frequency inputs vs low frequency. Norway sure is a great place for Sunday driving. Beautiful countryside, good roads, low speed limits, and not much traffic.

It is quite interesting to see how low consumption has become lately, at least for certain models. You are close to getting under 100 wh / km, soon. It could be interesting to have your spreadsheed arranged after consumption, and see if there is a downward trend with newer cars, which I expect there will be. One doesn't think of it, but the whole drivetrain is getting more efficient with small improvements all the time. Slightly more efficient motors, better regenerating, better inverters, with sillicon carbide replacing sillicon, heat pumps getting more efficient, better aerodynamics, and so on. Mybe you could make a video about this.

Here are the energy consumption figures I'm getting with my Model Y RWD 60 kWh CATL battery at a steady speed of 80 km/h: Hot weather: 11.6 kWh per 100 km in summer, providing a range of 500 km on a full charge. Mild weather: 13.3 kWh per 100 km in spring/fall, giving a range of 436 km on a full charge. Cold weather: 15.2 kWh per 100 km in winter, resulting in a range of 380 km on a full charge. That’s a 30% loss in range between winter and summer! 😰
@TillGroos3 ай бұрын
With the Tesla, you have to differentiate between everyday summer/winter and long trip summer/winter. Because the heat from the DC charging is used to heat the cabin on long trips like vacation trips, the consumption should be lower compared to regular drive and commute. But anyway, 152wh/km is good for such a big car, my bz4X is closer to 200wh/km in winter (with some stationary heating).
