Fisker 100%. I’ve test driven both. Enjoyed Fisker the test drive so much at The Grove, that I drove down to Torry Pines the next day. Talked with Dr Geeta Gupta Fisker for 30 min. Spoke with Henrik Fisker 20 min. Amazing people, so passionate about the car. Absolutely fantastic EV.

Just had my Fisker ocean one delivered yesterday. It’s gorgeous. Took it out for a ride with my wife last evening. Got pulled over by the highway patrol. They didn’t ask me for my drivers license. They just wanted to know what kind of car this was. I gave them a tour and they were really impressed and how flattering to be stopped for that reason.

For me the choice was not easy. I ordered a Fisker Ocean Extreme, which will be delivered at the end of November. BUT - the Fisker Ocean Extreme is significant more expensive than the Tesla Model Y - so I was a little bit uncertain. The reason for the Fisker was the better range, bi-directional charging and of course - California Mode.

I test drove the Y, and I haven't been on a Fisker...I ordered both Y and the Ocean One, but I had a problem with Y, so I cancelled my order. My Fisker Ocean One is arriving anytime now, and I took a gamble on Fisker because Tesla is an arrogant company and they don't care about their customers; although I may say both cars have good qualities, but as a company, Fisker is more cordial. Great video, informative and yet funny! Thanks!

I'm with Team Fisker. Haven't driven the Y but own a MX and just spent a month driving an M3 while my battery was replaced. While Tesla (currently) has the upper hand in the UI/software department, I have faith that my (hopefully arriving soon) Ocean will catch up. The Y may have an edge in torque but loses in the looks category. Sorry Elon, design isn't your forte. Thanks again, Patrick, for another entertaining and informative video. Keep them coming!

For me, the Y has a few things over the Ocean. Software. Tesla has refined, snappy software no one else in the EV business can match (yet). Secondly, the Super charger network (which won't be as much of a factor come 2025). Lastly, dedicated Service Centers in the U.S.. Lack of dedicated service centers more than anything is why I'm holding off on the Ocean, even though I prefer it to the Y. I'm watching to see how things develop as I love the Ocean.

Very entertaining thanks. David is the clear winner mostly on curb appeal. Tesla is just not getting body design in my opinion. My only thought when you compare the two is the weight penalty you have to pay for that big battery in the Ocean.

I only just learned here that the Ocean is a fair bit heavier. That means more tire/brake replacement, harder to stop and perhaps more in insurance? Besides that, the ocean wins on the other merits PLUS it is not ubiquitous, ergo boring. Great video sir... Silly and informative. :)

Fisker Ocean built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria 🇦🇹 Besides the FO, they build Mercedes Benz G, Jaguar E & I Pace, BMW Z4, Toyota Supra, so on quality alone I’ll take FO…. I have an Ocean Sport ordered since last year. Should be here in 4-5 months! I test drove the ocean, three months ago in Massachusetts, and was thoroughly impressed! I absolutely made the right decision.

yes it the winter time we will have that, too. Lot of salt etc. on the streets I also planning a washing guide or series about all to clean the mat finish etc. just need a bit time for it to prepare also pitty I´m at the moment sick and thats why there will be some delay in some content but all this things will be covered or I try to at least.

Tesla Y allways gives me the feeling of the perfect budget car, certainly at the current prices. Now i have never driven or even seen the Fisker in real, but it gives me the feeling of a fun adventurous car which you and your friends use every weekend to visit the beach or beatifull places of mother nature. But the Fisker feels also like a car for every surfdude in the world.. or a car you can use to go out camping.. (while still being a perfect communer on weekdays) The question i always ask myself, which car would push me to take a detour on my way back home from work? I am pretty sure it would be the Fisker.

Price is the biggest elephant in the room.. at this price point, Ocean need to be compared with Model X. I am still surprised at lack of simple thing like ventilated seats ans lumbar support.

@@gentlemensworld In US, X is 80K, with tax credits & referal bonus could come down to 71.5K. Colors are free. very sumilar to FOO if you include the destination charge and assume no tax credit on The Ocean. For the "One", you do get the 7.5K tax credit, so some relief ther.

Tesla is established with incredible software engineers, supercharger network, service. Tesla Y is the safest car available. Performance really handles like a sports car-firm but comfortable. Long range is a bit softer suspension. FSD is incredible and has a pathway to autonomy. Tesla has clean lines in and out. Fisker is brand new so we’ll have to see how They do-service, reliability, safety, financially…

Nice video. Fisker is pure sex! The Tesla design is ugly. Did you test the Fisker acceleration in Hyper mode or only fun mode? I’m a little worried about the handling of the Fisker being too soft though. Do you know if a software update could adjust the handling?

Hi thanks for the comment yes it is and again team Fisker. It was the fun mode Hyper would much stronger. The handling is pretty good from Fisker can confirm I like it more as in the Tesla cause it´s pretty direct but comes with the comfort. Not sure with the Software update if this could also change the handling but I can ask Fisker about cause they doing in a short period some updates on my car.

Tesla wins on price alone. Drove the Ocean in Boston and the front wheel drive bias is awful. The biggest issue in the U.S. for Fisker is the service. Ni mention about how toservice the Ocean. Big red flag for me. I've had an Ultra resevered since January of 2020 and communication with Fisker is terrible. When the new Model Y comes out in late 2024 with lots of upgrades, i will have to consider canceling my Ocean order.

Here is my issue with your comparison: No facts, lots of opinion - your 0-100km/h test in seconds??? Space - 6 off beer crates, but no true volume, I notice how far apart the beer cases were spaced in the Tesla?? Range - claimed against true range, none done! Why? Charging - time from 20-80 % and maybe from 0-100%, not given! No mention of charging infrastructure??? Standard futures - not even properly presented. So, here is what I think. The Fisker is a new kid on the block with lots of whoo-ha and no substance! It is much heavier and priced much higher! We'll see how the Fisker sales compares in say a year from now, and I'm sure it won't even be 1/20th of that of the Model Y, because it is not worth 1/20th of the Y!!!

@@gentlemensworld Im team Rivian now. But Tesla slashing prices is very bad for the competition. You add the supercharger network and they are #1 choice now. If I had to buy an ev now. I would go for model Y, and Rivian R1T. I had a bad experience with Tesla service with my Model X. So going with a Tesla again would be a hard sell for me.

sorry to taken so long to come back to you. Yes Rivian is a great car, too. Just not avaiable in EU right now. How was in general your X?

@@gentlemensworld My Model X was great until I went for the FSD computer upgrade. After that it was riddled with issues beyond imagination. Tesla support team was unable to fix it. It was a disaster until I sold it. Rear seats were moving slightly when you accelerated and deaccelerated they said it was normal 😂 plus wind coming from the falcon door was normal too. Other issues as well. Rivian is not perfect but it feels 1000 times better built. My original 2013 Tesla MODEL S however was amazing! Almost cried when I had to sell it. 😢

cool thank you for the inside. Was also thining about test driving the Model X onces to get a better feeling for. When I been in the other models like the S or Y (specially the Y) it feelt a bit as you said low quality to me. I didn´t like to be to much pro one car in that video me personally things the quality build of Fisker is better as the Y anyhow as you said price etc. is a difference for sure. I hope and I think that Fisker will fixing all the software and then the car is super goods. Would be so curios about the Rivian such a shame we don´t have it here in the EU as said.
