Pastel Tutup is delicacy in Southeast Asia especially on Indonesia where this Pastel have tons of variation, dont be confused with Mexico version because they look similar but have different ingredients and shape. The filling should be minced instead of cut square like that with some broth from cooking (add milk, not the heavy cream or cheese) and the potato on the Top-side should smeared with mixture of egg yolk, butter and milk powder to make them fragrant and delicious.

@trirahmat53845 ай бұрын
I skipped the recipe part at first and had no clue what the dish was supposed to look like. A frickin' pastel v: Yeah, it's supposed to be shaped like an empanada, not a shepherd's pie, because it's basically an Indonesian empanada. The angle of the recipe picture didn't help either; it doesn't clearly show the fold of the batter.

The swords were really cool! If they are as sharp as a real one, i would consider flipping them upside down so that the blade doesn't cut into the wood of the sword's sheath (normally these type of swords are displayed in this way so that they also remain sharp and don't damange the sheath, as i said before). To put it simple, the sword's arch should be facing the ceiling instead of the floor. Hope it helps! Love your videos!!

Hey Canoe, a few notes that I think might help. Chicken feet don't really have much of a flavor to start with besides fatty and rich and it's texture is supposed to be gelatinous, kinda like cowheel. Their collagen is what helps adds richness to things like broths and stews but some dishes cook it in a way so the snappy texture of the tissues can be enjoyed as well. As for the ingredients of the curry, if I had to guess, it seems like a Malaysian style curry with the fusion of Southeast Asian and Indian influence. Lastly, the potato dish started off very much like latkes which are a sort of jewish hashbrown with onions but with extra steps.
@rafa62224 ай бұрын
The writer of chicken feet curry is likely someone from Singapore. The writer of pastel tutup is definitely Indonesian. The latter recipe would have been easily mistaken for a Filipino twist on pastel, if it weren't for the glass noodles.

Jello recipe : first you take a little pot put a cup and a half of water put your Jell-O from the supermarket put it on medium high heat until it’s boiling. Keep it on heat after that for another 2 to 3 minutes and then put it in your bowl and leave it outside for for 30 minutes, then put it in the fridge for an hour and you’re done. It’s for more than one person. Edit.: I also made a video of it.
