When I was little, I dropped a big rock on a box of those paper caps in my friend’s driveway. It blew up, pretty awesomely, but a cinder went flying into some nearby grass and started a fire on the lawn... also awesome! Unfortunately the grass was pretty dry, and it quickly spread out of our control - we kept desperately trying to stomp it out before any adults noticed, but the neighbors saw what was going on and called the fire department. The 90s ruled!

I remember using the little 6-shooter pop guns when I was like... 10. So about 10 years ago. My brother and I would play a game based around Metal Gear Solid cause all we had was the demo and we wanted to play like a stealthy tag game. If we saw the other sneaking we'd go "What was that noise!?" and head toward where we last saw them. If they weren't under a box by the time we got there we fired the pop gun at each other. Whoever fired first won. If Snake made it to the goal room he won. If they DID make it under the box we'd go "Hm... Just a box." If the box moved we'd kick it over. >:3 GAHD I feel old.

One thing you can try, is what me and my buddies used to call "Bolt Bombs". You take a hex nut, and thread a bolt in from each side, with match heads in the middle. You end up with something sorta like a barbell, and when you drop them on their end, the bolts compress just enough to set off the match heads. The make a nice pop, just be smart with how much you add(start small). Back in like 2012 me and my best friend made one with gunpowder from .22 blanks, it blew apart on impact and the hex nut hit me on the collar bone. It left a perfect imprint/slight burn of a hex nut for like 3 days. 10/10 would recommend, if you use a face shield.

I'll tell you the better way. Trust me it will sound KABOOOM!!! This is what I used to do: 1. Go to the nearest hardware store 2. Buy a fully threaded Hex Bolt with suitable nut and 2 washer plates. 3. Put both washer plate through Hex Bolt, and then tighten it with the nut until there's 2-3 mm gap between washer plates. 4. Now carefully tear individual pop caps from the stripes (or tear a pair) and align them between the washer plate gap. Stuff as many pop caps in between washer plates, simultaneously tighten them up with the nut so they don't fall loose. (Higher the density, more the sound) 5. GO AWAY BAD GUYS PS: Make sure that Hex Bolt is not too long, also make sure washer plate diameter is decent enough to hold pop caps in between them. ENJOY!! I hope they see my comment, and try it in their new episode. Trust me it is gonna be much much much better. Leave a reply comment if you have tried and let me know how it worked out for you :) :) :)

Fun story time! In the mid-to-late 80s when I was 11 or 12, my friend and I got all of our pops together; the Red Tape ones. We had a standard size hammer and we're putting them on these concrete steps in for my house and hitting them similar to what the guys were doing on the workbench. I had the idea hay fold them over like an accordion on top of each other and let's see you know if it makes a really cool bang. Worked like a charm and we had fun with that for about 30 minutes, but you know how boys are so things started getting out of control when we tried to see how many we could successfully fold and tape together and still get them all explode. you might not expect this but it was extremely hard to fold more than like seven or eight right on top of each other, as they would not fire or they would just be duds and it would throw the chain out causing very sad results for how many pops you just wasted. by the time we were about bored with it I said screw it give me all of the remaining ones, which only accounted for about maybe 11 or 12 of them and I took time and cut them all into squares so they were not folded, then I taped them together and then taped them to the step which we were using as a striking point... And I fucking swan John Henry on that shit. This was a claw hammer by the way... A claw hammer witch rebounded off the explosion toward my forehead at about 50 miles an hour, grazing my right Temple and ear and frightening me so bad in surprise that I actually let go of the hammer and it ended up behind me about probably 7 to 8 ft. Now, this is a mid video post so I am posting this, then I'm going to go finish the video... Therefore I have not roflcopter yet if they tried this. 😎

We used to use these caps to make firecrackers. You take a needle and pierce thru the center of a cap...fold it over and pierce the next cap...keep accordion folding and piercing until roll is done. Pinch the top and bottom together tightly. Take electrical tape and wrap around the sides and bottom...leaving the top tap un-taped. Very slowly pull out the needle. If you pull too quickly friction will cause it to blow up in your hand. Now take a match and tape it to the outside of the caps. Bend the match into a z shape just above the top tap. Set on ground and light the match. When the match burns down to the top cap it ignites the entire roll at once....BOOM. You just made your very own very loud firecracker.

I once (as a kid mind you) took a lot of those revolver pop caps and removed the "pop" part and put them in like, a plastic vial ting (I think it was one of those things you have at the end of a rose with water in it. A portable water pot thing). But I wanted it to be more of a powder so I started mashing it, and while I was careful since I knew I could make them pop by bashing them too hard...I either didn't consider that I was using a metal knife and that it made a spark, or I just wasn't careful enough. I don't know which it was but it ended as you might think...with it blowing up in my hand. I was not seriously hurt although I did find a plastic piece somewhat stuck into the wall behind me...which probably would have blinded me if it had hit my eye, possibly something worse, and my hearing was fucked for a few days (now that I think about it, that might be one of the reasons why my hearing is so bad today). So yeah...don't play with any type of explosive, even toy explosives...I might be why kids aren't allowed to play with that stuff anymore...And if you do decide to play with this stuff then use eye and ear protection...play safe

We used to make firecrackers from those strips. What you need: Rubber band, scotch tape and the strips. Fold the strips in half like you did in the video, cut the rubber band in two and tape the one rubber string to one end of the strips and "roll" the strip up again. The rubber band will stick up in the middle. When you have the roll done, tape it up good and let the rubber band stick out, so you can use it as a fuse. Light it and enjoy your home made firecracker.

Fun with gun caps as a child: 1) two bolts one nut, screw nut halfway onto one bolt, pop some gun caps or non-safety matches in there. Very carefully screw other bolt onto nut. Throw - danger level 9/10 - careful screwing them together or could go off and when thrown - bolt will fly - so be careful testing that one. 2) Self igniting flame darts - get dart, pop some cotten over point shaft, then pop a guncap on tip. Throw at dart board and gun cap ignites the cotton - makes darts fun. 3) Homemade bangers - get strip of 20 gun caps, fold lengthwise creasing the circle caps open down middle with crease, fold every 5 caps back onto itself. Get elastic band, cut band and place along strip of folded caps with extra length protruding. Tape tightly with sellotape. Light rubber band (acts as fuse), it's a banger - do not do indoors as they are loud.

Kids don't have cap guns anymore? That's awful. I've still got this really nice stainless steel revolver cap gun that was literally my childhood lmao
@dadams1065 жыл бұрын
nah, they still exist near me. but kids dont use them anymore. mainly for the fact that neighbors get confused. one of my old friends had the police called on him because he was walking around the local park with his brother firing at each other

I used to own a nice aluminum cap gun that used the paper strips. My grandparents bought it for me when they went to the store one day. I played with it even after I ran out of the strips, and I gave my brother the plastic one.

Zig-zag 8-12 paper-caps to align the powder-nuggets, then carefully insert a thin sewing needle (pins too big) through the center of the stack-o-nuggets. Can be set off many ways; pull the pin out fast, throw it on the ground, hit it with something or put it in a door-jamb to get pinched.

@jamieknight73665 жыл бұрын
Exandria Official TKOR tried that years ago, and the backyard scientist did too, most of the attempts were unsuccessful and the caps had to be severely modified to allow them to ignite the gasoline

Really awesome! If you wrap multiple of these strings around a coin and then put a roll of 3/4 invisable tape around it, it gives a really loud explosion. Made a video about This like 10 years ago.

I used gather about a thousand of those caps. Cut of the circles with the plastic. Stack them in a really thick circle about the size of an egg in circumference, wrap it in tissue paper, wrap all that in tape which is the secret to make it extremely tight and compact. Then drop a rock on it. You can hear it for blocks and blocks

As a kid I used to cut them into squares, stack them up and then tape them between two pennies and then smack them with a rock or a brick. But I also remember you could buy the cap gun strips in a confetti form, and they came in a small paper box. Those were the best to stack or bunch up and then hit them with something. Oh the inner pyro of every child.
