For my bubbling cauldron I dry-brushed the whole cauldron with some metallic paint beforehand so it looks a little scuffed up and less plastic-y, then added globs of hot glue all over the rim and running down the sides. Painted it a nice, toxic green so it looks like build up potion spillage from years of brewing. Totally worth the extra effort imo.

@tenshikarenАй бұрын
@@gothicryuzaki125 Probably pretty good if it has an iridescence to it or add clear nail polish coat with it? Not sure it's safe with the polymers, maybe use a pearl luster dust instead. Otherwise the hot glue might not reflect the light like a liquid because the heat makes it dull, otherwise great idea!

You might want to be careful, the ultrasonic mister will leave a residue everywhere the mist lands if there's any particles in the water. That dye might leave a green dust, especially if the water wasn't distilled.

I made so many cheese cloth ghosts over the years as a child. It was THE go-to kid craft for Halloween when I was young, I guess. Didn't do the lighting part, obviously, just hung them places. Low tech lol.
@mwater_moon28652 ай бұрын
My kids did too, I still put them out 12 years later and they have held their shape! (I do store them carefully, nothing heavy on top). Theirs had googly eyes and little orange ribbon bow each so lights are un-necessary ; )

You may have blocked some of the intake for the pump so it wasn't as strong as it needed to be for a fuller stream which would solve the splattering problem. Either get a slightly stronger pump, or make sure not to block the intake at all, also you need to minimize the amount of glue you used around the neck of the bottle , it was part of the reason why the stream was so erratic. It doesn't take a ton of glue, you just need to be patient and let it cool down fully before letting go, but I understand for a stream you cant be waiting forever just holding a bottle 😅

On the Hot Glue tips, (roughing up the surfaces, not very good on glass), it seems like the 100w gun is hot enough so that the glue completely liquefies, and apparently has a lot more grip than it does using run-of-the-mill guns.

For the cauldron: Put the bottle at a steeper angle so the water flows down the lip of the bottle. This might stop the spurting. I simply love the bat flippity flap thing. I would not use weights as it makes it harder for the motor, thus adding noise. The kitty ghost is my favourite. It might be easier making the ghosts if you use a thin silicone sheet and place it on an elevated ball. It will be really easy to remove. Just my two cents. Or 3.

Just use a spray bottle with water in it, or even just dip your finger in water and lightly dab at the hot glue (assuming the materials are water resistant, and the glue isn't too hot. ) Also, after the glue gun heats up, turn down the heat. :)
