Rear "A" frame suspension ball joint failed. But the best were these two; Splined input shaft to the transfer case had worn so much almost 50% of the shaft had worn away. (Case hardened marzipan I guess). Reason; The compression "washer" or "ring" on the intermediate gear shaft bearing in the LT230T transfer case was not torqued up. It was all covered by warranty, but why?

We had the same issue with our 2015 Chevy Tahoe right after we got it in 2015. It had about 300 miles on it. The issue was related to the spark plugs. It was throwing up a similar code, but the mechanic said it was the computer thinking it was a miss fire (fuel to oxygen ratio low). They ended up replacing the spark plugs on cylinders 5 and 6 which were the ones throwing the code. This fixed the issue. We were towing a light trailer when this happened and since your engine was under more load then normal (going off road) it probably exposed the same type of issue. They said that in the factories the spark plugs can be damaged when being installed.

Tommy is probably right..the dealer will record the code then submit a Tech case with a session file to Land Rover. Then Rover will either send the car home after clearing the code and call them back when the software fix is available...or they can find the bad values off the session file and create a quick patch in a few hours. If its a errant value in the air flow tables it would be a quick fix. Could also be that crap low octane fuel in Colorado too.
@precisionc36564 жыл бұрын
Mechanic here plus owner of numerous landrover products over the years and currently. Check engine light fyi is any problem that could impact emissions of the engine and in most cases multiple trips of the same code are needed to keep the light illuminated. I’d suspect that it may be an errant reading from a wide band oxygen sensor. I would reset and see if it returns. Could have been caused by fuel. Honestly the current Land Rover products really have been pretty reliable, no different to other makes in my opinion. The older range rovers were notorious for air suspension faults, fixed a few of those.
